| Senior. So consistent, not only a threat himself but every winger who played outside him looked like a star.

| Based on longevity and consistency, in my time I don't think you can look any further than Senior. I sometimes think the role he played is under estimated. A fantastic servant to our club.
But, if we're playing dream team stuff, I'd go for Craig Innes and Toni Carroll. They were exactly what overseas signings should be all about..... Superstars!
I'd also give an honourable mention to Brad Godden - he was superb under Murray.
Put 2 of any of those 4 into any current superleague team and it instantly makes them a top 4 team.
The sad thing is, Watkins has all the physical attributes and skill to be as good as those 4 (he's certainly got more physical attributes than Godden had), he just doesn't seem to have the ticker or desire to stamp his authority on them game. He's too nice... if he had a bit of arrogance and a bit of c*nt in him, he'd be 10x the player he is.

Can't argue with that. If Cronk pushed Senior like he pushed Watkins in the four nations they'd still be picking pieces of him out of the turf.

Absolutely, and whilst you can argue it's one of the things that defines Watkins as a thorough good bloke and much more decent than big Keith off the field,. it is unfortunately a fundemental flaw when it comes to being the best of the best on a rugby league field.
Thurston is seen as being this god like figure who can do no wrong, a perfect idol for the kids, but he's still got a bit of niggle and the sh*ts about him when it comes to competing and getting one over the opposition.

| Innes looked the part but rarely delivered IMO. Iro was a great player but not for Leeds.
Schofield at centre was excellent. I'd put Senior with him if I had to pick two.

| In my time watching Leeds; Senior, Godden, Schofield. If we use him better, Watkins is up there too. Sadly, the current excellent backline is wasted.

| The season I started watching Schoey was moved to SO so it would have to be Senior for me,at his best almost unstoppable.good defender, looked after his winger as well .also loved Innes and Godden and echo the thoughts re Watkins who could be a world beater with a bit of mongrel he has everything else.

| Senior was the centre who gave me the most pleasure for the longest period. But I rated Innes who was just really finding his feet when he did a Segayaro & p*ssed off to Manley.

| Schofield and Senior, plenty of good memories of Les Dyl. Only saw Syd Hynes after his broken leg when, by all accounts, his glory days (as a player) were done.

| Schofield and Stephenson the best Leeds centres for me, with Innes a very close match. Others good too, but those the best for me.

| As I named Lewis Jones as the best SO that I have seen play for Leeds I will with reluctance rule him out at centre (and full back) where he was still a genius and the best I have seen at Leeds.
However I will include Schoey as I rated him even higher as a centre than a SO. I liked the old fashioned centres ( as against the 2nd row forwards style of power over skill) and so for me Derek Hallas has to be on the list as apart from his own individual attacking play he made so many tries for the flying dentist Wilf Rosenberg (44 one year) another wingers centre was Dick Gemmell who would always straighten his run to fix his opposite number and give space for his winger a skill that is all too often missing in todays game.
So my list is:
1.Schofield
2. Hallas
3= Dyl & Hynes
4. Gemmell

| Overall it would have to be Senior and Godden. Both were pivotal to the success of their teams (admittedly Godden only did two years).
Quite a few players who made an impact during their time at the club: Tonie Carroll, Richie Blackmore, Kevin Iro
Dean Bell (second stint) > Paul Bell (unlucky guy)
I agree with Bullseye's assessment of Innes - looked classy but never really turned up. Same applies to Chev Walker.

Think it was a shame Walker didn't stay. He was still only 23 when he left and he really could've added to us and himself in that 07-09 spell and we may have pipped Saints to some of those LLS as his replacement in Toopi never really produced considering he was playing in such a strong team. I imagine a number of times when October came round in the years after he left he regretted his decision.
