Nick has left Bradford to join Wakefield, for alleged undisclosed fee. I don't think it will be much as Trinity are broke, also why would they have to pay anything as Northern are in admin. Wonder how many players will be left there next week

Much rather give Dan Smith a go than a has-been like Scrutton. He reminds me of Keith Mason over-hyped and has never developed into the real deal.

Why wouldn't they have to pay anything? Being in administration doesn't make it a free for all. Administrators sell assets to pay off debts, wouldn't be much good if they gave stuff away for free.

Most player have a clause in their contract stating that if their club enters administration they are effectively a free agent.

Administrators sell off assets to ensure they get paid - there will no dividend for creditors here.

They also need to get costs back under control - if Scrutton is one of the higher earners then it makes sense to let him go. In a fire sale you are hardly in a strong bargaining position re. value of assets.

If we were after any one the Bulls lot, it'd be Managa-alphabetispaghetti-oa instead of Scruton for me. He always seems to have an impact and dent the line.

I also like Donaldson - he's very raw, but has potential to be a good running back rower.

There was an enquiry over Carvell but his demands albeit not ridiculously high put Leeds off . As for Scruton he could do a job for a season as back up IMO. Not sure we need any more back rowers but yes Dan Smith would be a good acquisition.

I wonder how many more will escape the sinking ship?
