What benefit would we get out of starting Sinfield at 9?

Anyone who think Anderson won't have Huddersfield fired up to finish their home league campaign on a high needs their bumps feeling. Leeds will have to be at their best to win this, never mind resting key players.

I would much rather see sinfield at hooker & defending the middle and have two creative half backs.

With the usual RFL **** up for the final round of fixtures the week one play-off match-ups were finalised with four games still to play leaving only Castleford and Widnes to contest the wooden spoon.

As nothing much rests on tomorrow I fully expect we'll see a game that reflects the same.

Wouldnt be suprised to see atleast 70 point game tomorrow.

Lets rest Burrow, Peacock, Kylie, JJB, Ablett, Hardaker, Sinfield, Delaney, Watkins and Hall. Might as well rest them all. We can't risk injuries and a lot of these players would be better with the rest than playing.

I'm overawed by their efforts this season to finish in the Top 4 as the evidential consistency of their regular Top 4 placings throughout the season suggests.

That's like saying Saints didn't want to finish in the top two because they haven't been in it all season.

I'd still rather finish 5th and get a comparitively comfortable game at home in week one and having taken the win carry that form away to a team who likely as not got a good going over away at the league leaders.

Truely terrible format, IMO.

Applying a similar degree of tossing-it-off during the regular season to St Helens would seem inappropriate as it is definitely Leeds who are SL market leaders in that particular department.


On the subject of low standards, I believe you're probably the market leader in that particular department.

A very salient point which seems lost on those desperate to argue that the current play-off system rewards teams in a manner befitting their final finishing positions on the SL ladder. This current format does not do that. What it does do is reward mediocrity instead.
