People saying that we will finish 6th at best, but with us kicking on with our form, Huddersfield and Catalans dropping out of form, can we nick fourth?

Catalan games left - Warrington (home), Hull KR (home), Salford (away).

Going on the performance of Huddersfield today, and with the games they have, it could go down to the wire with the last game of the season against them.

5th if we're lucky and one of hudds or cats slip up where unexpected. But we'd need both to slip up badly to take 4th.

In terms of our form, we'd had a good mini run of wins.

But let's look at this. 2 games against a mediocre hull team who we pretty much always beat anyway. Not only is their record at the kc terrible against us, so is their recent record at headingly.

Then you have saslford away. Meh. When was the last time we even lost at salford, ever lost there in the SL era? Probably not.

Then you got 2 games against cas. Tougher oppoosition. Normally give us good games. Not bad.

But it's not like we've had consecutive wins agains wigan warrington and saints. Let's be real about our form.

I can see Catalans winning at least two of their remaining three an on top of that, they have a pretty good record against Wire. Hudds should also win at least two of those three.

I can see us having to beat Huddersfield to finish fifth, which would mean we might have to play them again in the second round of the play offs, or have a trip to France. I'd take that over the other 3 right now

I would also imagine that Catalan will win 2 out of their last 3 games

If we win all 3 we'd pobably finish about Catalans due to our, now, superior points difference.

Fourth probably not, 5th possible, 6th more likely, but isnt the main issue here that we are finding form and momentum when teams around us are losing theirs? Thats all you can ask the boys to do, and the confidence that results and a performance like tonight can give the team going into the play-offs is the most important thing.

(Not to mention Wembley of course!!!!!!)

after tonight and huddersfield losing to salford, providing we win and warrington beat catalans this is on still.

After tomorrow night it could be in our own hands, unbelievable really. My money is on us nabbing fourth.

If Leeds finish fourth and win the GF (unlikely when considering the huge gulf between Wigan, Warrington, Saints and the rest) it will be a sure sign that a season ticket is worthless.

Save your money for matches in August onwards: the rest of the season is meaningless.

Just need Wire to win in France later today, assuming we beat Quins of course, and fourth place is a real possibility. And at the moment I would back us to beat Huddersfield at the Galpharm the way they are playing at the moment!

Hee hee ... To be thrashed by Harlequins the week after thrashing Castleford surely begs some serious questions and firmly does put Leeds where they deserve to be at this stage.

Still think they have it in them for one glorious performance this coming Saturday, but don't waste money on supporting this team
(and regime ) after that for the remainder of 2011 ...at least.
