we're going to be without a good number of players for next year, and I just don't think we can do what we've done over the last few years, i.e. hardly sign anyone.

Sinfield will be starting the year in the halves, which is OK as Clarkson can come into LF. But then we're down a 2nd row. Peacock's out as well, leaving us with only 3 fit props, 1 of whom (like Peacock) is near retirement. Add to that losing Donald & Eastwood and we're going to be short a few players.

While we will have Jones-Bishop and Watkins back (potentially a winger and a centre) I'm not sure I like the look of next year's team as it stands, that being

I think Delaney would make a much better SR than centre, and Smith a better centre than wing. So we'll need a new winger to come in, plus a prop to replace peacock.

Nick Scruton (who we should never have let go)
Tom Briscoe

So we have Smith, Hall, BJB, Watkins, Senior, Delaney all singed on for next year and you still want Tom Briscoe? Granted you prefer Delaney in the pack but the numbers dont add up.

I agree on the prop. We need one and will get one imo.

Scruton would be perfect, the fact that McGuire will be out for the first 3 months of the season and with Eastwood going and Peacock also injured, we definitely need a prop/second row.

He's decent and we should never have let go, but lets be honest, he wasn't even the Bulls best prop in a poor season.

There is better out there certainly to not just go fawning over one player.

Indeed! sika Manu and jared waeara Hargreaves are both available and miles better than any English props who are out of contract.

Totally agree. Scruton is a decent enough prop but wouldnt make any particular major difference to the squad we have. Personally wouldnt swap Bailey for him myself and would certainly prefer to look at other options rather than bring him back.

Remember he was only a rotational prop when here who was in and out of the 17 and injured too often.

McAvoy yes, but you are wrong about the other two. O'Neill was injured a lot but still played a fair bit, and Millard must have played in most games rotated with Diskin.

No he is not being generous, they were all signed by Leeds, number of appearances makes no difference.
