I like the fact that we are not going to over stretch ourselves in order to ensure that we can continue to play. I also like the fact that the ground is going to be improved without significant change to its basic look. When is this due to begin?

1. Still doing nowt with the away end?
2. Whats with the windows in the North stand? (is it when we have a fixture clash with the cricket we can watch both games?)
3. Nice looking bar on the back of the SS, but wheres the turnstyles?

All in all though this is great news for the club and great to see what they are striving for.

End of 2011 at a guess because they are selling ST's for 2011 so i assume it'll be the end of that year.

Seems like we may be able to afford these improvements too

Now I'm no accountancy expert and I'm sure the more knowledgeable people on here can advise better, but that sounds fairly good to me. Certainly better than Saints situation

The most worrying thing for saints is that these figures are from 2008-09. This year's could well be worse.

Eastwood wasn't here for 2009, so it could well be the caterers budget has significantly increased for this season.

Yep that was my thought too, it seems as though their board are fairly committed to Saints but still its going to be difficult for Saints in the next few years.

Yes surprised at that also.. but it could well be to do with the houses at the back of that west Stand... I think the club have issues on re developing that stand due to the residents

I can't imagine they will be better given the move but also, that could be the reason their figures look bad at the moment as well.

As for the South Stand redevelopment & new pitch, it is now clearly going to be the end of 2011 season, as I do know that as of a few weeks ago Leeds had not applied for planning permission. I don't think GH & the club can push the South Stand any longer than one more season without upsetting the safety officer!

All standing is the word.

Would it cost us the chance to host internationl/cup games if the SS was all standing? If it did i reckon they'd have to do half and half, as they'd want the increased revenue from these games to help balance the cost.

We don't want to encourage Wiganers to visit Leeds. Brings down the tone.


Might be a ramshackle old terrace but at least it's all ours.

The Western terrace will get redeveloped at some point but it will be the last thing the club will do. It has many issues, residents, public rights of way and just the 'tight' nature of the site and just getting a roof on the thing.
