| What the hell are we gonna do if he is not fit for WCC?
Basically hope and prey that Delaney will be fit. If not all I can think of is Watkins on the wing and JJB at centre - as he played centre against Cas and Salford after injuries. Dont mention Coady coz that would be fooking stupid playing him - huge huge step up from NL1, the crowd, the occasion, his opposite number will be greg inglis.
Best case scenaio Donald and Delaney fit (but surely not 100% fit)
Worst JJB at centre and Watkins on the wing

Think Bluey will be smart enough to put Senior up against Inglis.
Plus just saw on another thread that Inglis has been playing 6 for Melbourne?

Bluey would HAVE to put Senior against Inglis – anything else would simply be suicide.
Imagine Kallum (Billy Elliot) Watkins facing up to Inglis? Men vs boys!

Not sure about that from an attacking pov. If Senior switches to the right it will take out our best attacking play. Senior, Hall and Ali can cause damage to Melbourne but if our whole structure is broken up then we may come up very short in attack

| Given the way teams structure their defences, it's unusual for centres to face up directly opposite their opposing centre.
Most teams defend (from the winger in) with a half back, then the centre, then a second rower on each side. At Leeds it's usually been McGuire on the right, Burrow on the left - hence Saints running a lot of their game plan against us down their right to try and isolate Gidley on Burrow and use his offload game.
The key to defending against Inglis isn't who you select in the centres, it's how you structure your defensive pattern - as England found to their cost by compressing their defence at the DW Stadium and leaving themselves vulnerable to quick passing along the line freeing up space for Inglis and Slater to hit the England right centre channel.

I agree AG the Storm tried the same with Falou on Burrow the last time they were here but we managed to combat that and also play the conditions better.
It's still a concern if Delaney and Donald are missing on the right because C.Smith will hammer that channel all night(fnar fnar).

Yup, and McGuire must still be having nightmares, though he wasn't aided by young Tom Briscoe or Englands' defensive scheme.

Think you will find the proble for England was Peacock,Smith,Muguire defending before Briscoe
The aussies found it to easy to get outside of Peacock who was playing 2nd row that day they east pass and draw on smith and mcguire, and thought Briscoe was let down by more senior players around him

Didnt ask what was up, just asked if he had any idea how long he was going to be out for, which he answered "it could be looking at around 3 months out". On the plus, Brett is back either this week or next.
