Just got back from the game,glad that we are into the qualifying semi.

But the one thing that is clearly obvious to me is that as we will now be given the coaches call in 2 weeks time, and that we will choose HKR if they win through next weeks play-off game, imo it will be embarrassing for the game if the other semi ends up being a repeat of tomorrows Shudds v Saints game should they both make it through

Probably lowest team, unless we get a chance to make Saints play Wigan. We should reward the rugby league public by giving them that game

How boring would it be for the tabloids if both semi finals are a repeat of the top 4 play-off games from round one again?

Tough 1st half and we seemed to rush attacking plays costing at least 3 tries imo.
The 2nd half was good once we cut out the errors and i thought our bench made a huge impact especially Ali and Bailey!!

Probably his best game since KR away.

IMO we should opt to play the lowest team from the 8 irrespective of who it is or who it leaves to play in the other semi.

We were incontrol in the first half too. A few silly errors and doggy calls let KR off the hook. From the first 10 mins Leeds were not going to lose tonight.

Apparently we cant choose HKR again because the RFL dont want duplicate fixtures again. Sure I read that on here a while ago.

C'mon mate they defended well and put us under pressure on our line a few times in the 1st half and we needed to defend at our best to keep them out.

They needed 3 consecutive sets right on our line (inlcuding a drop out going straight out) to score a try where the player slid over after being tackled.

Other than that the only threat was fox's break near the end of the first half.

To actually win hull needed a more ambitious and and expansive gameplan.

It might help if you put last nights game into perspective. We were without our 1st choice fullback, centre, second row, loose forward, the hooker ended up playing due to Murrell dropping out prior to the game, Stan was drafted in at the last minute and given pain killing injections, and we stuck a rookie on the bench. Not excuses by any means but should be taken into account when berrating the oposition I think.
The best team won by a country mile, and hopefully, if we can keep improving each season, we will be up there with you. But given this was our first play off game, I am not too despondent about the result. I would give us a better chance of making more of a contest if we get you again with our fit players back. We finished 4th on merit, and if you look at the table, if we had taken the 4 points off you, it would have been us at the top of the league, so a bit of credit is due there. By the way, big well done to the Leeds fans who chanted 'Theres only 1 Chev Walker'. Hope you get through this latest setback Chev.
