| Outstanding today IMO. Keith is playing some of the best stuff of his career IMHO. Sinny guided us around brilliantly, and his goal kicking is unreal at the moment.
Couple of good finishes from Ryan Hall, thought Lee Smith was excellent going forward and Robbie Burrow looking as dangerous as ever. On the other side, the goal line defence was unusually sloppy, and again we started to concede silly penalties.
Despite one flash of genius, and one smartly taken try, I'm still far from convinced that Gibbo's future lies at right centre. Reasonably encouraging today though.

agreed.
I also agree with the comment about Squeefy. He played very well and it was also a nice touch to have him lead us out at the start of the game

| agree on all apart from Gibbo. It looked like every time we went keefys side from close in we would score. to be fair Hull weren't that great but they ran the show.
Gibson showed a touch of class once again. He proves to don't have to be big and physical to put a winger over, finesse counts for something too. The winger being Donald we're talking about as well so extra credit. I've backed Gibson all the way as the best out and out centre at the club after Keith and today he showed he's getting back to his promising form that got toopi dropped. IMO deserves the shirt as long as webby is out.
Worral looks done for Leeds.

worral playing is showing the lack of decent back up forwards in the squad

| Buderus dictated the pace again, went off, smith passed forward from acting half, hull scored, not saying this would have happened otherwise but Buderus is far more influential than appears.

We don't seem as sharp when buderus goes off but you've got to credit hull for never giving in and they gained a hell of alot of momentum especially in the 2nd half when our discipline again cost us field position and possesion.
Overall an entertaining match which both sides contributed to and as has been said our defence wasn't as solid as usual.

| sorry dont agree with Gibson, apart from the try and the pass out to donald really dont think he offers anything. I think Watkins with a bit more experience and working on some parts of his game is head and shoulders above Gibson in attack, and is far more dangerous than a gibson in his earlier years. Watkins in the reserves friday night was outstanding in the second half, if he can contonue that kind of form he will be back in the starting line up. Think Gibson will be on his way this year.
As for worrell well i cannot for the life of me understand how he gets picked....offers nothing just a plodder nothing more.
I have seen him 3 times in the reserves this season and each time he was probably the worst player on the field and he still gets selected for first team ????

The "flash of genius" was not necessary, he could just as easily have simply passed the ball. Trying to set up a flick out of the back of your hand every time you need to get the ball to your winger is going to result in a truly horrendous pass completion rate.
I thought his defence was poor last night as well - although he's not helped much by Donald. Ratu made a stunning impact when he came on - giving away the dumbest penalty of the game.
There were so many holes in the Leeds defence my Mum could have grabbed a couple of scores last night. Most penalised team in the league, now with a defence that pensioners could walk through? Something not right here - and it's not the squad - which should be up to this (although if Luke Burgess doesn't learn how to tackle people that don't run straight at him we should be looking at a lower league prop with peripheral vision capability very soon - oh...hang on?).

I disagree. The way you carry the ball will influence how the defence reacts. The defence will have not expected the pass as Gibson had it in one hand. That doubt that Gibson created in the defenders mind gave Donald the split second he needed to squeeze in at the corner.

Kylie played some longer stints tonight. Seems to be improving recent weeks.
Did Ablett get injured? I didn't see him after about 60mins

Surely you commit the winger if you pass out of one hand. There is no disguise passing out of two.

| I believe we need to be an eighty minute team and stop the lapses which we have displayed in recent weeks.
I agree that Kylie and Peacock are awesome at the moment. Ablett also backed up with some telling runs and drives. Burgess isnt quite there yet as the impact player we require when the old guard have a breather.
Silly penalties.... What was Mike Ratu thinking of? He had tackled Raynor and when he got up to play the ball Ratu was having a smooch with him! The result from the penalty was six points to Hull! In the first half we hardly conceeded any penalties which was pleasing.
Sinny - what can I say - kicked every kick with ease - then again the usually hit and miss Tickle was also on target from all over. Must have been a kickers day.
Then again, Jodie Broughton was clean through and fell over. Hmmm. Credit to Hull though, played the last however long with fifteen men and played really well. Thought Thackray showed us what we were missing! Loose carries, indicipline and I do wonder if as repoerted on Sky that he had phoned up Bluey and apologised.

I think Burgess go forward is improving and he always looks to offload which I like, he needs to improve his defense but he's getting better generally IMO.

| Seeing the title of this thread I thought it must be about the Sky teletext report of the game. It's a right dog's dinner, mixing up our titular heroes at random intervals.

So all that coaching boll0x about carrying the ball in two hands because the defence won't know what you are going to do is wrong then? Last night the defender had already commited to him -he transferred the ball to one hand and flicked it out in a high risk move. He could just as easily have passed. Do you recall the next time he got the ball and took an age to transfer the ball to his right hand which was so obvious anyone could have spotted it? Donald didn't get the ball that's for sure.
The one handed flick is used best after you have made contact with the defenders and you are being tackled and only have one hand free - like Mr Lauititi or Keith does it - any other time it's just incorrect passing technique.

Not the squad in terms of ability but perhaps it is the squad in terms of application?
I've posted this before but mentally the team are in a tremendously difficult situation that most posters seem blissfully unable to comprehend.
Teams struggle to retain titles because its so difficult to mentally get up to performing to the same intensity and consistency for a second year. This squad is trying to do it for a third year - something that hasn't been done in Superleague before.

His postional play last night was poor, every time Hull moved the ball that way they looked dangerous. He has defended better other times I've seen him. Burgess, Diskin, Worrall, Doanld and Gibson were all leaving holes last night. As a team we were not up to standard.

I am sure that I will be berated for sour grapes, BUT how many times are we penalised and the opposition arent? Last week Bradford were hardly ever ten yards at the play of the ball. Last night Hull were the same. We either adhere to the rule or scrap it - How many other teams have been penalised for offside at the kick off this season, beside us on Easter Monday?
Then again, we must have a great team to bounce back despite being over penalised!
