Hope it’s ok to post this on here. I'm just trying to help out any fellow Leeds fans who may be short of work at the moment.

If anyone has had the misfortune of being made redundant or for any other reason is out of work and requires a bit of cash I am aware of some temporary work available for one month in Leeds city centre.

It’s basically data entry. Boring, mundane but could be ideal for someone who, like I said has recently lost their job and wants to keep the wolves away from the door for a bit longer.

Any further info please contact me and I'll fill you in. I dont want to put anything more on here such as application details as the moronic element may take it over.

I don't know.

But I doubt he'd actually be able to the the travel from his house to where ever it is? His trip to Shelf over the Bank Holiday is a big adventure for him.

I presume it's city centre based?

Damo's agent informs me that he is currently earning £4.13 per hour hitting himself with a brick in a travelling circus, so won't be engaging in any other paid work at this time.

No you don't, you need experience on your CV and even a months experience is better than a blank CV.

You will never get anything with that approach.

Just thinking the same,plus he'd be able to network and if he made a decent impression he'd be the 1st port of call for any more work and get a decent reference out of it!

Go for it Damo . They are right in what they say . It's an extra item on your CV . And the bus stop to Leeds is only a short walk away .

And think what props you could purchase with the money for future videos .

I used to be very critical of my CV till someone actually pointed out to me it wasn’t as bad as I though it was. I’ve got around 3.4 years worth of experience in the voluntary sector along with some more recent work at ASDA (of whose uniform I will be burning come camping next week).

Despite my rejection of that job I am going to look into doing something different within the voluntary sector as my experience within the work placement centre has been nothing but bad experience. (My CV is two pages long..)



I don’t have plans to make any more videos on a scale that I have been making them as it does not really give me the stable lifestyle that I crave. In fact the only thing I am doing from now on with the entertainment side of things is my Mcing that has recently become popular - I will be releasing an album out by the end of the summer.

However my main focus is to get on some sort of career path that is not as unpredictable as the ones offered by agencies that hang around the job centre like flies around .

Just mates and acquaintances quite enjoyed my Mcing so I'll do a little album and dish it out for free and see where it goes from there. Just a bit of fun really..

Damo Agency work may not be the best but at least its work and more importantly money in the bank and employment on your CV not just voluntary work.

Until recently I have worked doing work via an Agency for the past 3 years and at times hated it but it was work and money so my way of looking at it was better than nothing. The work I was doing via the agency was generally ac hoc stuff rather than anything longer term but I know of people in different areas of work who have gone on from there month with an agency to working full time for the company they were placed with - so getting your foot in the door really does work.

I couldn't agree more. My wife started as a temp via an agency. She ended up being a manager at the same place she started temping, and eventually moved on to more responsible and senior positions elsewhere. She's now a company director. All because she bit the bullet and went with an agency on a one month contract, whilst all her other pals were starting much more glamorous jobs with big accountancy consultancies. I'm pretty sure she thinks she made the right decision.
