At 8am it was reported we are in the box seat to sign Archer. By 10am it`s saying it`s now unlikely we sign him. I`m sure it is going to be one of those last minute jobs if in fact it ever goes through. Disappointing but no surprise.

We are now linked with Adam Armstrong at Southampton. Tbf I wouldn`t mind him on loan as he is proven at Championship level.

I think Archer is better, and has a higher ceiling, but I don't think we'll sign anyone

Inheacho gone to Middlesbrough. It’s sounding like we’re waiting for a few dominoes to fall if we are to get Archer. Southampton being very stubborn considering new manager won’t play him at all
