interesting I thought
Quote i don't really want to come on here and talk about wigan because this was leeds' night and they deserved it. as a wigan fan i was disappointed but as a rugby league fan i was so happy for peacock and sinfield. two true legends of the game and they deserve everything they got. peacock was as immense last night as he was his whole career. he just willed himself to keep on going, to keep on tackling. and sinfield had everything wigan didn't - the brain to run a rugby game.
anyway, if this was a different sport, there'd be a dozen articles on this game, one of which would be dedicated solely to the losing team, and i could use that to talk about wigan, but there's not one, so i'll do it here, briefly.
1. sean wane describing last year's grand final as a "moral victory" for us made me want to puke in my mouth. the man is just wilfully idiotic.
2. did we have no gameplan, or did we just not play to it? how many times do you want joel tomkins to kick on the fifth?
3. we don't have the brains on the field. kicking the penalty when we were two ahead was just completely pointless and asking for trouble.
4. matty smith was anonymous, but that's pretty much par for the course right now.
5. as long as wane continues to have our second best player in mcilorum on the bench for pretty much half the game, replacing him with someone who is not half the player he is, we are not going to win anything
6. i am really frigging tired of our foul play. farrell's late hit on maguire after he scored the try was really unnecessary.
i'd love sean wane to go. i want a new coach with new ideas. all wane does is carry on what maguire started, and add "even more aggression" to it.'"
