It makes sense to me. I can't understand why any club would have their early bird deadline ending just before Christmas, at a time when people are forking out lots of money. Surely its better to have it after Christmas anyway when people may recieve money as a gift and put it towards a seasonticket.
Quote="Bang"Would I get in on an under 16 season ticket? How strict are the rules these days?
My pals little brother wont be able to make afew games next year and said I could use it, will it work?'"
Well,
I know someone who is, as Miss Jean Brodie was want to say, "in the prime of my life"...
although that should say "his" life of course
...anyway, this person, whoever he is, and I'll deny that its me, has on several occasions used his brothers 8 year old son's season ticket to gain entry, shocking isn't it ?
This same person also once gained entry to a rather important "finals" fixture by using an OAP's concession ticket on a manned turnstile and he wasn't challenged on that one either.
Such a scoundrel.'"
If that's the case I might swell buy an under 16 season ticket.
Not sure about Leeds policing of tickets, but last year at Saints there was an incident involving someone using an under 18's season ticket at the Wigan derby. I think the result was that they were asked to leave and I think possibly charges where involved. Just a word of caution as clubs may not advertise that they check this kind of thing, and some, even most may get through, but it does not mean no one gets caught.
I think at Saints they have a light on the back of the turnstiles. It requires stewards to be paying attention at the time, but basically a 30 something walking through on a concession light will get challenged if the Steward has been alert enough.
