Well, everyone knows that Pies can be Starter, Main Course or Desert, and we have a special at Christmas!

Cake, on the other hand only really falls into a desert, and yes there is a christmas special...

I think Pies win on that one for adaptability and usability.

Pies are just regular season stuff. Cakes on the other hand are your challenge cups and super league grand finals of food. People don’t put candles on pies on big occasions like birthdays do they?

I doubt any couple will be cutting a pie together at the biggest day of their lives - the wedding.

On that analyst: Cake > Pie

Each to their own. All in all though, if you really like a woman, she might let you give her a Cream Pie, but she's likley to punch you if you offer her a cream cake.
