| Hi all,
Im a 32 year old bloke from the North East of England who has become disillusioned with his first love of football. Ive been watching Rugby League on Sky now for a number of years and ive become more and more impressed with the competitiveness, speed, passion and sportsmanship of it. I really now want to experience a live SuperLeague match and The Rhinos are my nearest club. I work out of York quite a bit so im planning on trying to attend the Rhinos v Harlequins game on Friday 25th Feb. I will be attending on my own as all of my mates are only interested in Football or Rugby Union. I just want any advice for someone attending there first SuperLeague game.
Do I need to buy a ticket before the day of the game?
Wheres the best place in the stadium to watch the action from?
Best place to go for a pint before the game?
Best place to stay if im going to stay over?
etc.....
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Cheers.

| Quote ="Harrigan"What year?
Because my 1st match was against Australia too. Im sure it was either 93 or 94.'"
It was 1990, have still got the programme in my loft, Leeds played in a white shirt with blue collar and amber and blue thin hoops with (I think) Carling sponser . I bought one of these shirts at the game and still have it, I wear it now and again.
Without digging out the programme, Leeds players I remember were Roy Powell, Paul Harkin, John Gallagher, Paul Medley, oh memoris not what it used to be. For Aus I remember, Lazarus, Sironen, Roach, Bella, Ellias, Maninga and Langer?
Real good game it was, Leeds did themselves proud, infact we could of won it.

| Quote ="RhinoVirgin"Well even though the result wasnt great I thoroughly enjoyed my first Super League experience. I stood in the South Stand, and it was quite unusual being able to stand and watch the match with a beer in hand. Although I heard mutterings in the crowd that the atmosphere was poor and the performance of the Rhinos even worse it didnt spoil my night. I will definately be back soon.
PS. Did anyone see one of the Rhinos (sorry not sure who it was) nip over the boards into the empty stand behind the posts with the trainer and go behind the scaffolding. What was he doing? Just a toilet break I presume.
Anyway im off now to check the fixtures and arrange my next trip to see the Rhinos.'"
I do hope it wasn't a little sh*t for you
