Quote ="thebloodbath"Your 'fans' don't shower you in glory.
You have reclaimed rugby leagues most unwanted title as:
Super Leagues Biggest Disgrace.'"
I'll let you into a little secret, neither are yours. Firstly, Quite a few years ago I used to work on the turnstiles at Headingley. When people asked where I came from because I don't speak "Wesy" and I told them the verbal abuse I got was appalling especially to a young woman. The police actually told me not to speak to anyone unless I had to so I didn't get abuse.
Secondly, I have walked through South Stand with my Hull Shirt on and being verbally abused and spat at by your fans
Thirdly at the World Club Challenge a few years ago, we were sat behind the sticks with friends who were big Canterbury Bull Dogs Fans, me and my hubby we neutural that night. Some to$$er (a Leeds Fan) sat in front of us who was drinking heavily from a hip flask jumped over the seats to come and "deck" me because I was a Hull Fan who had dared to come to Elland Road and sit with Bulldog fans. His wife actually apologised and told us he'd been drinking all afternoon. He got his just deserts because he started on some fans on the seats in front of him not realising they were all members of the same Karate Club.
So don't start lecturing me about our fans. I think you'll find all clubs have an element they'd rather not have but your fans are no angels either.
