Nothing is wrong in raising awareness but petitions are usually brought into the equation when you feel you are likely to encounter problems - hence the one for NM. I am suprised that one is needed for something that according to a number of Cas fans was subject to little if no opposition and had the councils full backing.

i see the usual suspects on the wakey forum are busy telling anyone who will listen everything thing is going wrong for cas, the stadium will never get built, strangely enough the same ones that were so sure thornes and newmarket would be plane sailing. They seem to be more bothered about praying cas will fail than hoping wakey will succeed.

I see they have the biggest announcement in the clubs history coming up, anybody else reckon they are going to announce nm is cancelled and a new site will be chosen. They tend to announce a new plan every few years or so the timing would be about right. To be honest i think they need to get a site in the city, they will struggle to grow in a stadium miles away from there catchment area if they have been struggling to grow from inside the city.

The Wakey forum is mildly amusing. Half of them are still arguing over the link road...even though, that's been included in the regeneration plans.

Oh and the fact they think this is some kneejerk reaction to Glover is laughable. This has been planned for a while from what I know.

They know absolutely zilch; simple fact is, they're trying to knock our plans because a weaker Cas puts them in a better position. Nevertheless, I - and many others - still believe (and know in some areas) that we outscore them in the majority of aspects.

Why wouldn't I believe? Not about loyalty as these plans are being driven by Opus and Palmer as it states in the article - not Cas.

It does, it shows the bitterness of some wakefield fans and it also shows that at least one leeds fan (one who doesnt have a personal agenda to push regarding stadium) thinks cas are a good shout after looking at the facts. If some of these wakey fans put half as much effort into supporting and promoting there club as they do slagging off cas they wouldnt have gone bust.

I thought it was a link road to the motorway. Have they re-routed it to the Wildcats ground?

That will be because Glover has hardly said anything other than if in SL next year we will spend to the full cap and there is a meeting on the 8th June which is probably the most important in the clubs history. He can only be judged on the first one if we stay in SL and as for the second, well we will know after the 8th June just how important a meeting it was.
