That was a play off game (when Cas won incidentally) and I believe there were a few more than 2000 attended.
During our sojourn in NL1 in 2007 we regularly took between 1500 & 2000 to away games and outnumbered the home fans.
Fact is fans will go watch a side that's winning and is optimistic of winning whatever level that's at. The result and the manner of it on Sunday will probably reduce the number of Cas fans travelling over to Wigan by a couple of hundred. |

It's a long while back now but for the first game at the JJB i seem to recall the Noth stand being about 2/3 full so i'd guess there were about 3,500 cas fans there that night.
I've always been amazed by the Cas support tbh to say the town is so small. Hopefully as many as possible will be able to make it over on Friday as i'd expect it to be a real close game in which Cas have a good chance of winning the way we've started. |
