Reading his posts, mainly on the Wakey forum, he is obviously a Whino fan involved in the construction industry. He may be hoping for a few nice contracts to bid for if GH and more importantly NM go ahead.

I was totally right though and it was most certainly the answer... it was not the answer Wakefield or I hoped for but as I eluded to, the 22nd and the 28 days (although I know they requested and extension beyond that) was important!

Just interested to know what the details and current proposed time frames were as, given I am in the construction industry, it is useful to know this sort of information for my network, but as I work in a smaller more niche market sector (but growing!) within the industry, it is just for givers gain reasons really!

It is formality and will probably just be handled under delegated powers (unless there is something that has changed or conditions that are not being discharged fully... which I doubt). The biggest discussion on GH is likely to centre around the materials choices and the number of urinals... no more!

I learnt yesterday that there is a board, unlike RL Fans in general I am pleased to say, where your comments would go down a storm judging by what I have briefly seen and clearly I am revelling in minor celebrity status... now I know I have one... on board I didn't even know existing! This is sad and I would hate to be in the Wakey fans position right now! After the scenes of celebration on look north when they recieved the go ahead from the council some of them seemed to think it was a done deal but all the while there were those on the outside warning that this would be called in by Pickles and so it has. The Wakey BOD cant honestly expect their fans to believe that this is a suprise to them after all of the opposition from various quarters not to mention the misgivings from other fans or did they honestly think that because their future depends on better facilities that the powers that be would turn a blind eye to the green belt issue and complaints from residents and Leeds city council? From an outsiders point of view it looks as though this was a huge roll of the dice from the Wakey BOD.
This is not the end of the road for Wakey as they can still ground share with barnsley (or dare I say Cas) and meet the RFL criteria that way I suppose but Whatever the plan B is they better get moving fast.

Yes I have to say I am thinking along those lines too while ever wakey are around and we have not started the build anything could still happen. I think we must get the planning in asap and at least get the pitch laid to show a start.

It'd be hilarious if Wakey came crawling over with a begging bowl after telling us where to go when we first proposed a ground share. If they can pay rent, or if they put enough finance into it, I'd accept it. I said that before. But if they turned round now and wanted in on our plans, we'd have to be in the driving seat.

As nice as it would be I dont think it will ever happen, I dont think he wakey board will even consider the idea.

It means "please dont kick us out of sl rfl, we have a little bit of the funding sorted for the stadium," (even though our planning application has gone to the dogs)

Certainly have no idea why they feel people need this clarification. It's been widely publicised since it was first announced that the council weren't giving cash to either club.

But no-one answers the question of how they can stay when they have sold the ground.

If they can "buy-back" their stadium and find the resources to re-develop this has to be their best option.

At least if the worst does happen and they are relegated they still have a ground in Wakefield!
