No - Millward cannot IMO. Getting shut of him would also boost ST sales. Ian Millward is the weak link and I still cannot see us getting anywhere near the best out of our playing squad with him in charge.

What a nice option to have by staying at the Tigers for a further season eh Rangi,you were clearly still under contract whilst you exercised your options to consider your future,and as they haven't come to any fruition you can now still pick that mega contract money up for a further season

It seams with some of our fans Rangi is damed if he gos & he is damed if he says we gave him the massive contract we have not stood by Rangi instead we tell him he can go if he can get a club Mr Ferres needs to make it clear to Rangi that he is wanted at Cas he is a game winner and for us he is not replaceable when he dos go it will be a long time before we see a player of is ability in a Cas shirt

Ferres has always said we can afford to keep him and I believe him. What has he to gain by lying? He's been truthful in the meeting: he's no reason to lie.

Rangi leaving now could have been potentially damaging having to look for a new half-back with pre-season just around the corner. Not only that, it might persuade a few of the will we, won't we people to commit to buying a membership and backing the club.

Let's build on that momentum now.

Top post mate. I think Cas will have issues when the inevitable injuries come around easter time. I think our run on 17 is top 6-8 material. It's once we get into the rest of our (weak) squad that we will have issues.

At least now we have a quality half back for 2013, if he is to move on in 2014 we have got plenty of time to look for a replacement and if he dos decide to stay beyond next year the club need to get strong and put a hands off notice and make it clear that he is a cas player and he is hear to stay

Let's get one thing straight here as there seem to be some Cas fans that have very short memories regarding some of his boozy antics,and they were there for all to see too up in Ponte and at the Xscape.I have seen this guy in action and close to match day too and that is not what i wish to see from one of the highest earners in SL and probably the highest ever earner at Cas.
I totally despise what message this sends out to our other squad players and more importantly to our academy stars of the future about how to best prepare yourself for a successful SL career

Why is Rangi still at our club?
Simply because his other preferred choices of clubs/deals fell through and because he had the luxury of doing his window shopping whilst he was still under contract and on mega money too,Rangi could not lose could he not?

Once Rangi gets a chance to be off to pastures new then he will go without a shadow of doubt and that is why i wish he had got his move and we could have used his money to strengthen our squad with much needed quality this time around

These easily pleased fans and also the ones that are only too glad to applaud him for staying at our club will be back to vent their anger against the side and him very soon without a doubt,mark my words

, i was dreading next season but this gives us some hope

if you are going to condemn Chase for is boozing, don't stop at chase, because if you think he is by himself then think again, allot of Cas players are in the same boat, there as been a drinking culture at Cas for as long as i can remember, so don't just name him name the rest of his team mates, and why Chase is still at the club is that we cannot find a buyer & he has a 3 year contract .
We are a lot better with him in MY opinion than with out him , Cas brought most of what has happened on them selves, as the old CEO did not have the gonads to put a stop to it in-fact he did the revers.
As for short memories dos man of steel come to mind, so he cannot be that bad, Cas seem to be damed if he stays & damed if he leaves.

Were still a bit light in squad numbers with only 23. Another 2 more would be most welcome.

I think the club have made the situation very clear on more than one occasion. We go with what we've got unless a much larger number of memberships are sold. Then maybe and only maybe we might get one more player if available.

If we want more players, the fans will have to forget about last years let down by the players, & start thinking about a fresh start next year, if we don't buy the Memberships, we have been told they cannot buy the players

Every club operates on the number of fans unless they have a benefactor. Other clubs have hit the wall when we haven't. If we want to see a good team everyone is going to put their hands in their pockets and stump up at least £50.00
