Where are you getting this idea from? We got planning permission long before you guys did. Let's just wait and see, yeah? Otherwise you might be eating a large slice of humble pie.

No court case is possible. All clubs submitting a licence application agree to accept the final decision. If clubs do not like the rules they do not apply.

Oh … and, iirc, every club has also agreed that any club suing the RFL will be immediately suspended from all competitions run by the RFL (that's every rugby league competition in the country.

I think you'll find it's part the agreement by which clubs enter all RFL competitions, not just part of 'a franachise malarkey', whatever that is.

even if clubs could not bring legal action the players of the relegated club could bring civil actions eg. sheffield utd a couple of seasons ago.

The players couldn't and the contract is watertight. If the RFL select a team to be relegated, they are relegated.

Firstly, two of the five speakers failed to even turn up, The woman from Methley residents association arguments were weak and mostly already dealt with in the planning report. Andrew Booth, one of the three residents behind the faux groups Wakefield Community Conservation Group and Wakefield Angry Residents made a speech that clearly marked him out as a NIMBY and unfortunately, as we knew and feared, prepared to lie. He was caught out claiming all sorts of official legal rubbish and then when questioned was unable to provide any evidence or back up his claims.

They won't give up but their the fake credibility they worked so hard to cultivate is crumbling... but lets see what the next 28 days brings!

Not trying to pick a fight here, but with our news today, and the statement from Richard Wright, it would suggest that Newmarket could be happening quicker than Glasshoughton (this is just my opinion). If that proves to be the case, do you reckon you lot would come and play there on a temporary basis until GH is built? It would certainly put some pressure on the RL.
