Why would you waste money applying for a visa if cas aren't willing to sell at a price you're willing to pay?

But you'd clearly enquire about the player first see if he's happy to come to 'x' club and if his current club would be willing to accept an offer of what ever if we can get a visa for the player first. Then you'd go about applying for the visa obviously why would you waste money on attempting to get the player a visa if his current club aren't even willing to let him move on?

They could of quite easily agreed terms basically at the same time as they inquired about Chase. If you all want to believe IM then do so, but it's more than likely that your club are trying to get more money out of us if the visa does come through.

I like how Hull fans have transmogrified Adam Pearson's arrogant approach to buying success, into other clubs cynically seeing them as a cash cow; they're having the same conversation on their board about WTW and Kyle Amor.

I didn't realise that other clubs were expected to sponsor Hull FC's newfound ambition by selling them players at below market value - perhaps Mr Pearson should get a 'top London legal team' to set us all straight?

Meanwhile, back in the real world, if a player is determined to leave and Hull are buying, then it's nothing other than good business to extract maximum value for that player. I'm sure Mr Pearson will get up to speed on all that stuff when he has a bit more experience under his belt.

I'm sure the multi-millionaire and very successful Mr Pearson is eternally grateful for your fine business advice.

A fee was agreed with Castleford before the deadline, Cas agreed, Chase agreed and Hull agreed.

Now it seems that a visa will happen Castleford have changed the goal posts and now want more money, all AP is saying is that he wont be held to ransom.

So if the clubs don't now come to an agreement you have an unhappy player on your books and you don't get a big wad of cash coming your way.

Who else has the cash to buy him only two teams I can think of Wigan and Warrington that pay transfer fees.

Wigan are already sorted for next season, so that leaves Warrington at a guess.

Looks like you got your wish and your keeping Chase, said on the radio tonight in sports talk that a deal is now very unlikely as its just got way too complicated.

A choice between losing Chase or keeping him. Keep him hands down. 2 proper centres now with the club, a young scrum half to partner, his cousin in the 2nd row, I think we'll have a happier 2011 Man of Steel in our team.

I had heard a few weeks ago that he didn't want to leave now due to us signing Weller.
Maybe this is why Cas are now stalling/asking for more money for Chase, I just hope that if he does stay his off field antics improve and he knuckles down and shows us what he can do on the field and starts to play like he has over the last two previous seasons.

Well not having any contact with your BOD I wouldnt know, but it was written in several newspapers just before the transfer deadline and also reported in our local rag that Hull had approached Castleford about buying Chase and that an agreement had been reached dependant on Chase getting a visa.

Surely if Hull had not spoken to Castleford at all and just spoke to the player himself then by now Castleford would have reported Hull to the RFL about an illegal approach as it was before september 1st.

This whole sorry saga has gone on long enough and I am sure everyone on both sides want it to reach an end so we can move on. Our coach said yesterday when asked that the deal is not dead yet but it would be coming to a conclusion soon so who knows what will happen.
