| I will never understand people's love of Darren Rogers. I just don't remembering him being that good. Just an average winger next to a very good centre.

He was tall, which gave us a great option kicking to the corner and he was an outstanding finisher from short range, which made him a good partner to Monkey. He was strong defensively too and gave 100%.

| In the last 10 years i have to say the most influential player i have seen at cas has to be Broughy, i know it was in NL1 but he was class, he single handedly won us the grand final he knocked the fight out of the early doors and without that who knows where we would be!!
As for people bagging Newlove, i find this mind blowing. My understanding is he only got paid when he played and he didnt do that too often and he he scored a full lengh interception against rovers. Ohh and not forgetting the fact that he is absoloutly 100% the best british centre i have ever seen (last 25 years).

He scored lots of tries, what more do you want from a winger?

I disagree about it being a single handed performance by Broughy. Granted he was outstanding, however had it not been for the performance of the pack, inspired by Guttenbeil, he wouldn't have had much of a platform to work from. Everyone sings Broughy's praises for that match, but for me Guttenbeil's outstanding performance was easily comparable.

| I think huby deserves a mention on this thread, only 23 and has played in 7 seasons for us, stuck with us through thick and thin, sored some good tries, scored alot of goals for us and has put some real hard graft in.

| As an outsider looking in, I would have to say that Danny Nutley was probably the best prop in SL whilst he was over here at Cas
Adrian Vowles was a monster for Cas, He hit absolutely owt that dared to run his way, in his M.O.S season he was the ultimate warrior on the pitch
Has the club ever had any better value imports at the Tigers than these 2?
They were worth every penny IMO

Always had a lot of time for Schicky, but didn't he leave at the end of the 1998 season to be replaced by Dale Fritz?

| I remember back in the early 2000s there was a lot of talk about Wayne Bartrim being one of the best overseas players we'd ever had, so it's surprising that he's not had any mentions on here. What do people think about him now?
At the time I thought he was very good, but wouldn't quite have put him in the same category as Vowles, Fritz, Nikau or Nutley.

As in the true best players - you would have to be looking at Nutley, Manu, Bartrim and Shenton as 'best' in their positions and they woudl be playing for anyone, I was also a massive Crouch fan, I thought he was proper quality for us and was never quite right with his knee in his whole stay here so what he would have been like 100% fit we can only assume.

| Is it any player playing since 2000 or players beginning their Cas careers after 2000? Difficlut to pick the best- Vowles, Davis, Fritz, Orr all are Cas greats but played their best before 2000 probably. Nutley was class but a short lived stint. I give in!
Worst- hands down: Rudder, Warren, Franze.
