| Listening to Yorkshire Radio's Full 80 minutes and the interview with Ian Millward, to me it definitely sounds like Rangi Chase will be leaving at some stage this off season.
Listen for yourself and make your own conclusions

| do the cas board communicate with millward? both clubs had agreed a deal, it was only the visa situation that stopped it going through! seems the pressure of not finishing bottom is getting to basil!

| Seems to me like Cas have made the decision to give Ian Millward another year. Either Rangi cannot get on with him or Rangi is one of the trouble causes.
Obviously our season is just about over but I hope we just turn in some kind of performance at Hull. Finishing bottom does not matter now, we have to start fresh for next year.
I really do hope Wakefield get into the play offs. As I have said before, strangely they are my second team so a ground share would not be painfull for me either.
Good Luck Wakefield.

| It would be an interesting decision for Rangi if this unnamed Aussie club matched Hull's offer.
The game is booming over there...not to mention the weather & the lifestyle.
What would the visa issue be if he wanted to play in Oz?

| my limited understanding is that there is no paperwork issue to play in Aus. He has a record, as do a lot of NRL players, but he does not need paperwork to play other than NRL.
He is elligible for GB, but not a UK citizen, so his southern hemisphere status is unchanged.
I think Mrs and wee one issues will be the big questions, sure he wont get picked for England again either, but thats no biggie is it, how wishing to rinse this again but his not being english prevets that.

| If he signs for an NRL club, you wont get a fee.
NRL clubs don't pay transfer fees, as far as I know they have never paid a fee for a SL based player in the past.

| A very strange outburst from Milward.
A fee has being agreed between Castleford & Hull the only thing stopping the deal going through on deadline day was the visa.
I do agree about one thing though is it is dragging on, but you can't dictate to the Home Office.

Fair point, forgot about that however I doubt it will have been anywhere near the fee hull have reported to have paid, I'd also say that burgess was much more sought after than chase, who's time in the NRL was mixed.

That Hull haven't made a bid and it's all just talk from their end. It's on YEP website.
Looking at the Cas statements put out they never said a fee had been agreed nor that a bid had been made. Just that they had 'expressed an interest'.

| So we've gone through all this trouble of trying to get Chase a visa paying god knows how much in lawyers fees, to not have even agreed terms with Castleford? Yeah okay then Basil!

Or....there's no point going after someone if you can't get the visa.
Better to put the manhours in and THEN make an offer when you know it's possible than other way around. You can also get other targets then.
So, yes, it is plausible. Perhaps you should ask your own club?

Why would Hull agree terms with Cas before they know if Chase could actually get a visa?

Why would you waste money applying for a visa if cas aren't willing to sell at a price you're willing to pay?

But you'd clearly enquire about the player first see if he's happy to come to 'x' club and if his current club would be willing to accept an offer of what ever if we can get a visa for the player first. Then you'd go about applying for the visa obviously why would you waste money on attempting to get the player a visa if his current club aren't even willing to let him move on?

They could of quite easily agreed terms basically at the same time as they inquired about Chase. If you all want to believe IM then do so, but it's more than likely that your club are trying to get more money out of us if the visa does come through.

| I like how Hull fans have transmogrified Adam Pearson's arrogant approach to buying success, into other clubs cynically seeing them as a cash cow; they're having the same conversation on their board about WTW and Kyle Amor.
I didn't realise that other clubs were expected to sponsor Hull FC's newfound ambition by selling them players at below market value - perhaps Mr Pearson should get a 'top London legal team' to set us all straight?
Meanwhile, back in the real world, if a player is determined to leave and Hull are buying, then it's nothing other than good business to extract maximum value for that player. I'm sure Mr Pearson will get up to speed on all that stuff when he has a bit more experience under his belt.

I'm sure the multi-millionaire and very successful Mr Pearson is eternally grateful for your fine business advice.
