Emmitt played for Keighley today so he wont be playing tomorrow.

Very pleased with the performance today from 1 to 17. Before the game (and maybe even at half time) i would have taken a point, if we had shown a little more composure we could have pinched it...bad luck that it was passed to Tansey instead of O'Brien near the end for the drop kick.

The biggest plus we can take from the game is we continued to battle and stick to the task when we were under pressure from Catalans, as well as some shocking calls from the referee...last year we would have folded completely.

And if the man in the middle had spotted a head-high tackle to Hauraki, in which he broke his nose, then we may have won it too!

Getting sick of officials already this season: they're getting worse.

Catalans were near the knuckle on every tackle last week possibly with a view to put us off our game plan. Did they get any players put on report today? How did Gaz O'Brien play? Nice to see he got the drop goal.

Maybe it's time for two refs, and decent referee training schools.

Can i also enquire on GO'B and his overall performance today?

Not just the idiot in the middle the other 2 on the lines did nothing. Everyone saw it! - Makes you wonder!!

Thought GO'B went well , Had to do a lot of tackiling as it was that sort of game , Took his drop goal really well , I think the kid as definatley got something about him .

6/10. Quiet. Scored 1 & missed 1 drop goal. A nice dink in goal for Tansey which was ruled out, overall we didn't really use him much - no fault of his own though. I wonder if we'll keep him for the next 2 weeks or send him back now the 2011 Man of Steel is back. Either way, a valuable point today and he played a decent part.

Would he link well with Chase, might be worth keeping him on with an option to bring him back when we need him, win win.

That would perhaps mean dropping Ellis, our scrum half, which I wouldn't totally dismiss.

Think we should keep him for the next 2 weeks.
If ellis or rangi gets an injury next week he will be needed for the hull fc game.

its still early days but lets give a lot of credit to basil and his backroom staff for the great displays so far. personally i never let last season bother me like a lot of other people, because under the circumstances it was just a matter of batting the season out with what we had and basically start a fresh, and so far it has been great to be a part of it. ever since the leeds game, some of the stuff basil has had to say about certain things has been a credit to him, he is rapidly becoming a proper cas lad, and i hope it continues like that for years to come. and having read one of his latest comments that the players are a joy to coach is absolutely marvellous to hear too. good man basil.

I would definitely dismiss droppng ellis - he's a natural replacement for Danny Orr. Marshalls the side well and was our senior half back yesterday, At 21 he has every opportunity to become a superb player, and he should be given that opportunity. He does very little wrong, admittedly in part due to his in-expansive game. But that compliments Rangi beautifully

and England don't have that many top 7's (brough and myler aside)

It wasn't the same touch judges that missed Rangis head high shot on Hardaker was it ? Still, Weller thought it was a fair tackle so he won't be complaining about a broken nose this week.

Knew it wouldn't be long until 1 of you lot came on here piping up. Some might say we got the return of serve last week when GOB was taken out late in the 3rd minute of the game. To be fair to Weller, he probably won't be complaining about a broken nose this week, unlike your hard man full back he couldn't wait to have a cry on twitter claiming he kopped an elbow.

Don't forget the ref "missed it" and he was stood only three yards away!!! Quit yer whinging and concentrate on getting back on track after 2 defeats in 3 games.

I though GOB went well, he didnt see too much of the ball but tackled well, was unlucky not to break the line on a couple of occasions and scored a drop goal, happy to have him in the side.

Was a proud cas fan yesterday if a little frustrated with the ref, he seemed to give Catalans everything in the first half especially and at the end he missed an obstruction for there last try and the offside for our last drop goal attempt, had either of the decisions been made correctly and we would have won.

An excellent effort from 1-17 and the forwards stood up especially well, with notable mentions for shenny and tansey in the backs.

I thought Millington had his best game for Cas yesterday.

Sounds like you had a similarly frustrating experience with the man in the middle as ourselves!

I cant believe that no Catalan Headhunters have been called to the RFL especially the one that smashed Wellers nose.
Basil's right Its about time the coaches were allowed to ask why things go unpunished or why a decision has gone against the respective team instead of risking a fine.

Yeah that was kind of proof that it was the high shot we all saw. It's interesting how week after week, these things seem to be overlooked when they happen to us. I really did fear for our team's safety at one point on Sunday. Great effort from Cas against Catalans and their extra man though.
