| McGoldrick, the test I always use is if an opposition player had done the same, how would I have reacted. Answer, I would expect a ban and a fine. 2 matches, possibly 3 and £300.
Ben Cross - can't comment on the alledged incident with the players face, didn't see it. But as for the Danny Orr incident, complete accident was genuinely competing for the ball.
The tackle in the air on Youngquest - right decision again, I think there was contact in the air but he was not taken out.
Not a clue how Wakey, Mathers and the petty point scoring makes it on to this thread. That said, I do actually expect Goldy to get a SL contract next season, he is not daft and nor is his management.

I thought so too - a rare moment of skill from Cross, who is usually just a knuckle-headed battering ram.
He's a frustrating player - take out the niggles and inevitable penalties and he's probably the type of forward that most teams would like - big, tough, extremely aggressive and fit as a fiddle; all the gear, no idea, as my old man is wont to say.

| So it seems, i think he was at Leeds when they were in crisis and much like a number of the Cas squad at the moment, they are trying to be too many things and be a hero.
in a team where he can do 2 good stints of hard front row yacker without anything clever, he is probably a lot better than we are seeing him?

| I'd have Ben Cross at CT - no problem. Aggressive, puts the hard work in and as B2K says - fit as a fiddle. I think we have plenty of front rowers though.

| I would say now that we aren't paying half of Mathers' wages.
Wakey fans are deluding themselves if they think that.

Not quite half, but yes you are.
Back to Ben Cross - I'd have him at WTW in a heartbeat; he just needs a coach who can do what Shaun Wane appears to be doing with Lauaki at Wigan - keep the mongrel in him but get rid of the indiscipline.

| On a positive about Ben Cross, his fitness levels were pretty good. I'm not sure how much game time he got on Monday, but it seemed as if he was on for the major part of the game.

| 2/3 = 66%. Just because he doesn't like getting up at 6 in the morning for the new earlier training regime Millward has introduced at Tigers this year. Pity really.
