Both of them got major raps from a variety of 'neutral' sources for their performances this weekend so what exactly do we have to learn about their prospects. But for your vested/unhealthy interest in denegrating anything remotely connected to Cas I suspect you would be among the admirers or at least keeping your gob shut.

Good post however about Cockayne on the Wakey site, especially your references to Rocky Turner who we all suspect didn't so much motivate the great Cas team of 69 but scare the living daylights out of them.

If Wakey are so "cash-up" why are some people who work on match days paid by cheques from A.Glover and not WTW RLFC ? All isn't as rosey as you may think since your sugar daddy took over earlier this year.

I have no idea what money Cas have to throw around, I would guess not a huge amount. But if Wire, Wigan, Saints, Hudds, Hull or Leeds wanted Clark they would find a way. Salary cap doesn't seem to have stopped them up to now.

Cas are better off without Westerman. Don't know anything about his off field but on it he's suspect.

Just shown it again on Boots N All. Atkins in defence to attack with a ball steal and then straight under the posts. Unbelievable try. I still rate Westerman though and would like him to return to Tigers one day.

I'm sure most Cas and Wakey fans know that if either club produce any real classy players then it's only a matter of time before the big clubs flash the cash. Westerman, Atkins and Ellis are typical examples.
Think Cas have been lucky with Chase getting that guilty verdict over in Oz. Visa problems might just have scared the vultures away.

Not really. At the end of the day, NRL clubs are still interested in him and probably have more capital to throw at us (a la Burgess from Bradford to S.Sydney) than some SL sides.

I'm not sure how long issues such as Chase's last on visa application - surely there must be a period when they no longer count as strongly.

Chase has been in this country since 2008/2009 and has been a role model for Cas. As such, by the time his contract expires/visa comes up for renewal, I'm wondering if that will be taken into account.

Take your point but wasn't Atkins just refined by Wakey having been 'produced' by Bradford. Westwood fits the bill though.

I think there's more credit for refining Atkins than for releasing Westwood as a young raw player.

I think he will be in the NRL before signing for another SL club, would love him to stay with you guys though as he is a homegrown player on your books.

I like that Milner better. He really does remind me of a young Terry Newton. Clark does seem Roby esque, i.e, one trick pony.

I remember a few people saying when they were in the junior ranks they play like Cunningham/Roby did, with Milner being the slower more dictate the pace type and Clark coming on and scooting against a tired defence.

I think Daz Clark is our most promising youngster and I don't want him going anywhere. Remains to be seen what Millward will do with our youngsters and how much game time they will get next season, but the experience they have all had this year with the amount of injuries in the squad, will only make them better players for next season.

For me they should be rotated during matches throughout the season. Preferably with Clark coming on later in the game running at the defense.
