Firstly, well done to RW for sticking up for the club and its fans, who have paid money to support their club.

Secondly, well done to Wakefield for rephrasing their comments and clarifying the situation. Some see it as a back down but I saw it as a necessary statement to make - I think they made a massive boo-boo yesterday in all honesty. Still think the this is for away fans, that's for home fans isn't going to be enforceable, simply for the fact that the more people that go into the North Stand the more it will swell in proportion of fans.

Wakefield haven't backed down we just needed to explain it in more detail to some cas fans and richard wright who didn't seem to understand it. There's designated standing area for both home and away fans to stand like most SL grounds. This is to create a better atmosphere and after consultation with RFL & police this is advised as the best solution for the safety of supporters. The combination of traditional all day good Friday drinking in Wakefield + local derby +first match since the north stand roof has been completed was too much of a recipe for disaster so designated areas is the way it has to be. Unfortunatly we both have idiot fans and not wanting a fine for failing to control a crowd we have had to follow police advice . Wakefield as a club are wanting to do this from now on to be inline with other SL clubs and create a better atmosphere. Talking to someone who works for key security tonight at training said this will be enforced he said family partys and work groups can all stand together but groups and barmys has he put it will all be in their designated areas of not they will be moved there,loads of extra stewards have been brought in to make sure it works the night passes off without incident and we all enjoy the night for the Rugby

No, it was patently obvious what the WTW were getting at. Nothing about us not understanding it; Cas fans can only enter at this area and have been given the NE corner and the Eastern terrace. The rest is for Wakey fans and stewards will be on hand to monitor this. Please advise, where in this paraphrased sentence and not totally verbatim sentence, does it make out that Cas fans can stand where they like or any of the comments that Wakefield have made in their second comments.



All SL games generally have separate stands that cannot be accessed from other areas or all turnstiles, hence this. The tickets were sold as general standing - you simply cannot change that after tickets have been sold already.



No one has a problem with that but it could have been announced in a better way weeks ago before tickets went on sale. The 'Let's Go North' campaign as you lot like to call it has been ongoing for weeks. The club could have done this then. They didn't - they did it 48 hrs before a derby and all it did was inflame the situation.

As I have said elsewhere, it's over and done with now - the situation is resolved - we can move on. As for you other comments, I suspect it will be any club's intention to ensure that the main singing groups are kept apart - that's just common sense.

I can't believe that any of you except forrad (and possibly Fully) could actually think that Dicky Wright has any influence over anything, let alone the policy regarding what Wakey decide about who stands where. Dicky probably knew that and hence he wrote by letter (not e-mail) to James Elston instead of phoning him!

As always he is like the sneaky policitian, grasping onto anything that can try to make him look good to his constitutents, so you all forgot all his mistakes and failures to deliver.

The only thing that has happened is the initial notice wasn't as clear as it could have been. Still, if that buys Dicky some more time from your fans, all the better for us, as with him in charge you are being held back from being the club you could be, whilst the upwards improvement at our club since Glover came in is there for all to see.

Good for you if thats the case, but he has failed to deliver for longer than Ted did at our place re a new ground. Given his failure to meet previous deadlines for updates to be made , I would be suprised that if there is due to be one this month, it actually takes place this month.

My final point is, it all depends on what the announcement is. If you have sold the Ground then that is certainly a step in the right direction, but if it is conditional on OPP for the development on Wheldon Road being passed first, then at best that means you can't start for sometime yet, and at worst could mean the whole deal falls through. It also depends on how much you are actually going to receive through the sale as to whether you have any shortfall to try and plug.
