| A point is a point even if it was a point lost in the end, time to get back to winning ways by stuffing the future Championship team down the road in front of what should be a packed stadium.
Vowles is back for the game, the team are playing some wonderful rugby and from what I saw tonight Wakefield don't know how to deal with players with pace or runs from dummy half, so big games from Chase & Clark expected.
Score predictions, attendance predictions and other general chat etc etc about the game in here

| Irrespective of the names on the Wakey team sheet, this will be a very tough game. If we don't match their enthusiasm, we will get beat.
The euphoria around our start needs tapering imo, yes lets all enjoy it, but if we disrespect any team in the league, we will get beat. The players need reigning in, we need to get down to the basics and show that enthusiasm that we had in defence in the earlier games. Complete the sets of six, no fancy dan kicking early in the tackle count and grind out the wins. As Matterson said last night, let that be a lesson to learn - for all of us.

| It's quite easy and underestimate Wakefield based on that performance last night.
They were playing against a St Helens side at the top of their game and far better than us (realistically).
Wakefield know how we play and will have a game plan - stop Chase, stop Orr and the game's for the taking. We all know how Wakefield play when the chips are down and for me, this could turn out to be a game like last night.
Cas 28-14 Wakefield.

| Wakefield this season so far: played 10, won 3:
Beat: Quins (H), Catalan (A), Hull (A)
Lost: Cas (MM), Salford (H), Leeds (H), Warrington (H), Bradford (A), Huddersfield (A), Saints (A)
In the past we've been notoriously bad at beating teams well below us in the table.... and I still think about the Fax game many years ago when we were top after about 13 rounds, they were bottom, we went to Thrum Hall, got hammered and the wheel came off the season BIG TIME after that.
Good Friday will be a tester, similar to another Fax game of 1999 that we played just after we got dumped out of the Cup semi by London. If we play as we can play, we ought to win it. If we faff about, they'll take us to the cleaners - no question of that - Kear will have them pumped for this one.

Castleford has been a successful RL side and during the late 1980s and 1990s was one of the most successful sides in the country. Oh the irony of Wakefield fan.
How many times have you finished in the play-offs?
How many times have you finished in the bottom 3/4?

TBH you need to be fair to Wakey, they won the last Yorkshire Cup in that time (1993), but we also had the 1991 Yorkshire Cup as well. However, the original point made was league positions and about us playing teams well below us in the table.
Our league positions in the years I mentioned were:
1986/7....4
1987/8....7
1988/9....5
1989/90....7
1990/1....4
1991/2....3
1992/3....6
1993/4....4
1994/5....3
1995/6....6
1996.......9
1997.......10 (but premiership semi-finalists)
1998.......6
1999.......5
Excluding Wigan, St Helens and possibly Widnes, there aren't any teams with a league record as consistently good as ours in those last 10 winter seasons.

| Will be a tough game. Kear will have Wakey fired up no doubt. Wakey have played gutsy this season and haven't been the easy beats that people expected. Having said that we should have too much for them, and after last nights game at Quins i would hope our boys will be fired up and go all out for the win.
Cas to win by 12.

Hahaha!
I hope thats not the case because never have I wanted us to demolish a team so badly. I'm in Australia for our last game against Wakey in August, so all being well this will be the last Cas V Wakey game Ill be at. Boy do I want us to give them a hiding.

| Without seeing the squads and knowing if we picked up any new knocks.
I recon Wakey will have an 8 point start on the coupon. If Wakey are within 8 points they will win, if Cas are going to win it will be my closer to 20 points.... Don't think there is any middle ground.

| Pressure is on Wakey fans here to make the crowd a bumper one,
We should be hitting 10'000 for this, If we are both serious on a franchise, A good friday game. Should attract 10k
As for the game, We are far superior to those

Why should there be any pressure on Wakey to bump your attendance up, your the ones who are always on about how good your support is, so if it does not reach 10K it will be your problem not ours
