Hope it all goes well - but still sounds like a few hurdles to over come regarding funding and if/when things happen. As with all planning & tenders etc you tend to have more faith once building starts, good luck.

We will be down to one architect very shortly and should then get a better idea of what the stadium will look like. I'm now very confident that RW can pull this off and can't wait to see the build start next summer.

T'is the season mate, it's far too late in the year to still be on your horse.

But it was said on your board that things would be announced on 7th or 9th December and it's now the 12th and we've heard nothing. Given that it seems you're probably right not to get your hopes up although we've obviously no idea of what's to come.

We haven't had a design for ages, what we've had for ages is an general plan, overall concept and OUTLINE PLANNING PERMISSION.

It's so frustrating having to wait, but there are good reasons for having to wait. It seems like everyday for the last 2 weeks another piece of the jigsaw is being revealed regarding the j30 complex.
Hope all works out for getting your final planning application in for the summer!

It will be THE best Rugby League stadium and associated facilities in the country and it will be ours!

I dont know what your comment is aimed at, when the stadium is built it will have better transport access than other stadium (a train station right next to it running trains to leeds, wakefield and in the future from the northern line i.e. scarborough etc, any rl fan can catch a train, step off it and be at the stadium, we are just off the m62 which means for rl fans its as easy to drive to as anywhere, we have buses running from the site going to leeds, wakefield, hull and london, and a hotel for long distance fans right next to the stadium).

It will also have more entertainment within 5 minutes walk than any other rl stadium, skiing, surfing, cinema, bowling, lazer tag, climbing walls, an aerial assault course, dozens of shops, stores, resturaunts, bars and pubs.

If/when its built we will have the best stadium location of any rl club.

Unless you can think of a stadium with more to do when you visit, please give examples if so.

Spot on Pyeman and just the point I was making. This isn't just a stadium dumped in the middle of nowhere, it will be sheer class in terms of what it has to offer

Quite right. but all the facilities make it more of a viable a prospect and why the council want our stadium built in preference to Wakys, it makes sense for our stadium to be built and waky to ground share with us, they cant afford to pay off the tax man, so to provide funding for a multi million pound stadium is out of their reach, they are living a sham and are pinning their hopes of another franchise on trying to reach a top 8 spot or better in the 3 years, but I still don’t think it will be enough for them. come on waky wake up and smell the coffee, we will have a brilliant stadium with brilliant facilities in the vicinity, and with the prospect of 13k of seating you can have at least 3 seats for every one of your supporters how good a deal is that..

It's all about us imo.
The glasshoughton area is ideal for the stadium we all know that.....the council know it but i think they are scared to death on what the belle vue mob will say.
It would be sacriledge not to get the stadium built up at glasshoughton, what a vibrant area it would be up there...if it happens.

Cant think of anywhere else that has so many things to do before or after a game,transport links will be 1st class too.

It just the shortfall to get the thing started
