Ok guys, so what on Earth happened??

We'd gone in at half time, winning by 2pts, scored the last try before the break and were playing some good rugby. Everything a team needs to put a spring in their stride, and want to come out and win the game!!

However, before the ball had even been kicked off for the 2nd half, when Cas were returning to the pitch their heads were down...they didn't look in the slightest bit interested....and they looked like they'd no motivation to come out for the 2nd half and win the game. Very disapponting to see as a fan!!

Apart from about 4 or 5 players, that's pretty much the attitude that continued throughout the second half and allowed us to lose a game, that we had every chance of competing and winning.....(not dissmissing how poor Tiddly Alibert was......completely clueless!!)

What on earth was said in the dressing rooms over half time???

What ever it was.....rather than lifting the spirits of the players and making them want to dig in and play to win....the players just looked shell shocked, frozen...on another planet!

C'mon Cas....just give it your best shot, that's all the fans want!!!

HKR even gave us a chance from the kick off, kicking straight dead.
We looked out on our feet for the last 20 mins we were blowing like an old whale. I just cant fathom what went wrong second half, thoughi think justin morgan got is homework right at half time....rangi chace was marked out of the game.

Unfortunately has been and I guess will be the same while TM is in charge.... seen this lethargy and poor attitude too many times at half time for it not to be something the coach is doing or saying......

whatever happened at half time cost us the game..........

I'd be happy to explore your explanation of why the team came out for the 2nd half looking like they'd been to a wake! Any thoughts on the matter??

We were beaten by a better team. End of story. Take it on the chin.

Beaten suggests that we competed!!! That's exactly the point I'm making...doh!!!!

The 2nd half we didn't look like we wanted to compete before the ball had even been kicked off.......even though we'd every reason to dig in and play to win.

2nd half we had Chase,Westy and Sarge injured. Dixon off injured and players playing out of position. With that and Goldy under achieving(again)what do you expect? Yeah we looked flat but i would if my boss put me in a place i was unsure about.

We did compete. They just closed us down well and our usual attacking routes were shut off. Good play by KR, unfortunate for us. No plan B.

Beacuse he is situated in the gantry on the Pricess Street Stand he is the last into the 'sheds' (gotta keep the Oz speak up) at half time thereby he has hardly any time to assess the performance and give a gee up ralling call to the troops.

It was obvious from the start of second stanza (yup Oz speak) that HKR were told by Morgan to move up, get in our faces, shut down Rangi and the rest as we know is history..............................

I thought some of Hull KR's support play and attacking lines were spot on, really something to study and learn from. It was a true 'team' performance from them. I think that they can easily justify their place in the table.

I just wish that I could see a bit more 'team' spirit from our lads, at times. You know....congratulating each other for good tackles, tries, even good play that didn't quite work out! I like to see a bit of spirit and passion in the guys. We had the spirit in the first half...however it left the building during half time!!

i cant take anything away from kr they were the better team today but what TM says at half time is beyond me i think his best half time team talk this season was at bradford when to quote TMs words, i went in at half time and didnt say anything , the guys new what they had to do. enough said but i just hope today was a blip and we can turn things back around.

I think Cas showed a lot of spirit out there today. They did look bewildered at times in the second half, due to the change of tactics by Hull KR and they had no answers.

This sure is a change from last weeks match. Admittedly, I went out with my friends instead of going to the game so my opinion doesn't mean much, but I think some people are overreacting a bit. TM is already getting some stick! We've won the last 4 before this! I didn't hear any criticism of TM then.

Until we're the best side in the League it'll continue to stand to reason that sometimes we're going to lose to a better side.

Dont think people are saying we weren;t beaten by the better side just that until half time we were very much in the game and after half time we looked disinterested....and a lot of fans were commenting on it around us

It is a fact that this has been seen a lot under TM's reign and whilst we have been great away from home our home form has been so bad that we really didn't need a half time 'teamtalk' that effectively turned a competetive team into one that looked like they had been on the recieving end of a 60 point drubbing....

HKR in the second half were the better side but how much of that was down to our own team looking like they had been smacked on the at halftime????

Look at the league table buddy. You've been beaten by one hell of a lot of teams this season! Never mind "sometimes". How about half the matches you've played. Maybe you are a Saints fan who's stumbled onto the wrong forum.

This thread is going nowhere - Hull KR got to grips with Chase and particularly when Raz was off, we lost our way.

We never got to grips with Dobson, he was excellent today, much better than he has been lately as well..... Some injuries but all in all, we didn't adapt.

It makes me laugh when people blame TM for the half time talks- he is the manager and the head coach, on game days his work is pretty much done, it's not Cutsyke away at Egremont, the players are professional full time, they get very little coaching or talk on the day - it is not Sunday morning super-hero's.

Best team won, the team with the first choice halves playing well.

I don't think TM can be doing too much wrong when you were fighting for 4th at this stage of your second season back in SL. On song Castleford play some of the most exciting RL I've seen, and for the benefit of the Leeds troll, they do it without the perpetual subtle 'manipulation' of the rules.

Was at your game today. Pleased to see theres no slating the ref here. On some forums when a team loses, the users try to blame the ref instead of looking at their own teams performance.

Ok, some calls went against Castleford, but I think Hull KR got some against them aswell.

Castleford started well, but in the end, Hull KR were more clinical and turned chances into points, though had Chase (i think it was) collected the ball, when it was still 6 points difference it could have been very different.

Hull KR deserved the win, but 46-28 final score was abit harsh on castleford.

thats a first half the time this season we've looked predictable.
