Didn't want to post this on our forum because i know how raw things still are for some people connected with Wakefield. But i honestly feel i can't let this go.

How can your stewards (or fans from what i saw) not say anything about some so called cas fans sing songs about Wakefield players who have passed on!

A small group of idiots brought shame on your club this evening, while it isnt my style or place to go dishing out violence some of things i heard made my blood boil! i doubt they would have had the stones to sing that amongst the Wakefield fans at the other end!
Did any other cas fans hear this? if so why has no-one mentioned it? to clarify this happened at the WRE at HT.

I stand in the WRE ever game exit 5.
I didnt hear these songs at all.
We do have a couple of dozen numb skulls who stand in there and the genuine fans are getting fed up with them.
I can only appologise for this, there's no need.

TBF it was only from about 5 or 6 but more than that laughed along, prompted by me and 2 other wakey fans walking by.

Every club has its fools i just expected someone to say something!

Not really the place for this SW, by all means contact both clubs and the Cas supporters club but i'm afraid bringing it on here won't help.

all teams have got some idiots, best left and ignored and maybe they will go away or grow up when the wine gums ware off

You get them at every club you go to. Believe me, i've had my fair share at BV. But it doesn't stop me going.

It's the same type of people who suddenly go quiet when confronted, cowards. I think most Cas fans would have had a word though so must have been quiet and unnoticable to most!

Reports of these chants on casforum.com too. Sounds like a couple of lads who can't handle a beer!

come on SW you don't really think these are true ambassadors for the vast majority of cas fans do you , ignore them they are not worth it .

I have to say I always find the Cas fans are fine. Vocal, know their rugby and up for a drink afterwards win lose or draw.

Shocking if true, but give them some ale, surround them with like minded morons and they think they're Tyson at his peak.

Not surprised at all tbh, we have some proper scum amongst us unfortunatley. If it were up to me they'd all be shot, but i am a little harsh at times. As a Cas fan, I won't apologise for their actions because they'll get nothing from me. They should be banned, or as i said earlier, shot!

BTW, i've no problems with the op. I only hope this thread leads to the idiots being dealt with.

I couldn't say anything to the 'pond-life' at the time due to who i was with and how i have to conduct myself. Plus had i gone over i dont think i would have been up for a chat, i was boiling inside. This morn i'm a lot calmer, but please fans we can't expect stewards to be semsitive to issues like this, most dont know or care, games are just a job. In cases like this we as fans need to make it clear people like that are in no way welcolme. Red, white and blue or amber and black idiots like that have no place. I was just upset a few of the people round found the chants funny and i didnt see anyone say a word.

yes there is a rivalry between the two clubs and i wouldnt want it any other way but it shouldnt go over the top by singing songs about two young men that were tradgically taken from us far too early in the pomp of their lifes.

as already stated all clubs have idiots, as we were walking through town some young wakey fans with cans of lager were throwing the cans around and singing a song about one of our players (I won't name the player) stating that they hope he died from aids. But I don't take this small group of idiots who cannot take their beer as an example of the rest of the wakey support.

I was in the weldon road end and didn't hear any songs but if i had I would have had something to say to the idiots

I would like to thank the not too drunk Wakey female who reigned in her wasted partner.

I was crossing the road to get my lift home with my daughter, my partner parked up outside the motorbike shop near the Ship she had my 6yr old in the car.
He was shouting abuse at all that would listen and for no other reason than we have a Tigger air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror started to open the door to our car to have a go at my partner until he was stopped.

We all have our idiots but most dont go into peoples cars, what is next?, entering houses because they have stickers in bedroom windows?

Lost for words at some morons. I was disapointed and I really want to beat Wakey when we play them but ITS A GAME FFS!

Wakefield, apologies for the numb nuts, its not what 99.9999% of us feel.

I had some bother with a Cas fan but he was all mouth no action, but all other Cas fans were great. Especially in the pub before game with the sing off it was great even the non rugby fans thought it was great and that’s what rugby is all about FRIENDLY banter. After a few songs the Cas fans came over and we had a chat with them.

There's no excuse for such remarks, even if said in drink, but to say you won't ever go 'down the lane' again after Friday is insulting to the other 99.9% of Cas fans, it means you're tarring everyone with the same brush. What would you do if these remarks were made at Belle Vue?

It is despicable that the morons you mention said or sung what they did, but they should be treated with the contempt they deserve. I didn't hear anything myself and was stood at the Wheldon Road end all the game, but there was some other rubbish being sung using language not befitting a building site, let alone a place where we take our wives and children to be entertained.
