How is Castleford going to win given that:

1. The game is in Perpignan.
2. Todd Carney is likely to play.
3. Viliami Sione Tonga is likely to play a whole game.
4. Scott Dureau might play.
5. Castleford just lost at home to a much weaker side than Catalans.


I know that the season has just begun, and lots of things change by mid-season, but does Castleford now have what it takes to win in Perpignan?

If I was you I'd be more inclined to ask the question, do the Catalan's have what it takes to win in perpignan after their lack lustre showing last friday.

Are you sure Todd Carney will play as he's more likely than not to do something stupid before the weekend as he has done in Australiaa throughout his career. Tonga should be rested for this week after his accident against Saints last week.

I hope he plays too. That brain tumour that doctors found over his eye in 2013 had damaged his confidence. He played reserve grade in the NRL last year to try to get his confidence back. I hope that in 2015 he can recover his 2012 form. It will make the world of difference to the Catalans attack in itself, even without Todd Carney. However, because Dureau is a creative half, it will give Todd Carney more opportunities to play at his best, whenever the two of them finally get on the field together.

Unfortunately for Castleford, playing with a one man advantage for 10 minutes could not be translated into points.

I shudder to think of what the scoreline will be when Todd Carney starts to play and Scott Dureau gets more games under his belt. I suspect that Catalans will win easily under those circumstances, even at the Jungle.

We haven't replaced Huby in the pack and it shows...Lynch & Millo aside the rest were bullied in the middle. We really should have taken the points on offer at the end of the 1st half. Two poor teams on show...we are bottom 3 material at the moment and Catalan aren't that much better.

Fancy disallowing a try that was onside even if you couldn't see the player in question even though there was another player in the screen that proves Solomona was onside - flipping laughable isn't it ?

That's the thing though, Child's could see the player and in his opinion he thought he was offside which is why he gave no try when going to the screen, presumably giving the video refs' the chance to prove his decision wrong, unfortunately for Cas the camera angles were inconclusive either way and could not contradict his decision, which had the cameras' not been there would have been academic as in his opinion the player was offside and as we have all suffered over the years with poor decision making that's how it goes.

I'm perplexed how how thought Solomona was offside but escare for Catalans kick try was onside. More inconsistencies from this idiot, rfls golden boy.
