Quote ="Disco"Behind a pack like Wire's Rangi would be awesome. Maybe you didn't see anything special from him on Friday (neither did I barring the wasted 40-20) but that's because we stupidly took the game to you up the middle and got hammered on every play - our front 6 were never in the game and there was no room for Rangi to do his stuff. Well played to Wire for snuffing Rangi out, but I've seen many a game where Briers has suffered the same fate behind a beaten pack. At least Rangi didn't get a strop on like Briers would have.'"
Bang on!
Over the years I've watched the likes of Andrew Johns, Alfie Langer & Peter Stirling appear rubbish behind a totally dominated pack. Not suggesting for a minute that Chase is anywhere near the class of these greats but if you'd have swapped Chase & Briers round on Friday night there'd be more than a few fans suggesting Briers had had his day and ought to be retiring or stepping down to a lower division to finish his career...
