It's certainly not about splitting hairs, identifying the root of the problem is far more important than that.

From what I am seeing from Fax and my own experience of being coached, playing etc, discipline and tackling (or what we knew as the collision) often go hand in hand.
The collision is key and comes before any wrestling side of things.
Win the collision either in attack or defense and you almost certainly win the other things such as the wrestle and in context the penalty count.

When defending, if you are losing the collision (getting rolled down the middle like Fax often are) you start to lose your discipline.
If you release early they make big yards down the middle, retreating defense = penalties, points conceded.
If you don't release early to slow the play the ball down = penalties and points conceded.

It's a simple formula that every rugby player / coach at every level knows about, we all know this.

This is exactly what's happening with Fax, reading Keal's retirement interview and speaking about his condition coming to light against Sheffield he says this.
“I probably lied to myself a little bit that day; the pitch was heavy, they were rolling us down the middle and it was the first game."

This root cause of being rolled down the middle and penalties has nothing to do with the players you quoted who either weren't even playing, or if they were, none are playing down the middle, it's the pack's responsibility.

Can SG see this, yes.
In the pre York game interview he says.
"He thought the backs are doing okay but the forwards were pretty scratchy, they need to sort their games out".

If he's saying that in front of the camera what do you think he is saying off camera?

He tells us in the post match interview from the same game saying.
"He had laid down the challenge to our middle of how they needed to play".

Of course that would have involved coaching, not just saying it and off the field both coach and player will work together but when on the field it's down to the player.

Have a bad game on game day and the coach will do his job and pull you off, keep having bad game days and you will be dropped, again a simple formula that everyone understands.

Problem is as stated, we have no one to replace them in the pack, who's going to replace Dan and Kev for instance?

Does a player who's been told and knows he's having a second or even third chance need anymore incentive to be galvanized to take personnel or collective responsibility for his performance or actions and if he blamed the coach for "everything on the field" were down to failings at coaching level how do think they would be viewed by everyone else involved at the club including us.

Just imagine what we would say and think if Dan Fleming who lets be honest has clearly had a few poor games comes out and blames Simon Grix!!!

In context of the discussion, nobody's available now to replace a player that's a candidate for being dropped so he plays.

Over the season, overall it simply adds to the size of the squad.

Even with it we are down to bare bones, without it we are verging on starvation, certainly in the pack.

We're only at the start of the season. If shuddersfield have no players they need to get match fit or need game time now, I can't see how they will have later apart from using us to ease injured players back to fitness.

Backs to "if's" again and yet again negative, critical "if's" with no real knowledge of what the actual situation is.

Why is that, just to support your view of DR that's all you can see.

These comments don't even attempt to provide any support for the club or discuss the issues facing Fax at the moment.

As an example, name one player Fax have taken that Huddersfield have forced on us who was injured and coming back to fitness, you can't.

"If" as you say Huddersfield don't have any players to offer in the future you have what you wanted.

A Fax side full of Fax players playing at the current level.

Then you can be critical again of the BoD having no ambition and the coach having no abilities again offering no alternatives to how they can fix any of it.

Huddersfield will send players to us who and when they decide to. Do you really think they are in this 'partnership' to help out Halifax RLFC? I think I know a little bit more about what's going on at the club than you give me credit for. I also know what's right and what's wrong, something which I have an opinion on and will comment on. As for the examples you give, I clearly stated the players returning from injury scenario was one which could occur later in the season and have made no criticism of Simon Grix's coaching but misquote me all you want if it suits your argument. To finish, the most positive thing Fax could do for our club is to rid theirselves of this DR madness. Short term it may be beneficial but long term it will be disastrous.

Total rubbish about the Huddersfield players.
Based on speculation, to support your view on DR whilst at the same time insulting Fax with comments such as

The facts show so far we have had 3 players, all forwards to try and strengthen our pack for well aired reasons who Huddersfield offered and Fax decided to take and none of whom were injured or coming back from injury.

One went well and moved on to a SL club.
Another was a former Bradford player who was a rising star at this level and Huddersfield payed a six figure sum for.
The third was another good lad who got stuck in on the day and helped in the win against York picking up a knock in the process.

I am not challenging the person, it’s not personal or even the stance on DR.
It’s the anti club aspect that I challenge, these guys and a small army of others are working their butts off with no chance of any return and just want the club to do as well as it can and constantly get kicked in the teeth for their trouble.

For me it's not really the club that I don't feel attached to, although DR dosen't help, it's the game as a whole. SL and the Championship seem totally different entities. So far apart they're almost different sports. Club's under SL don't count but without the roots the trees will die, yet still the people running the game plough onwards in the chase of their idiotic dreams. We'll see where it all ends. For me this Sunday brings an U9's game followed by a new micropub. What's not to like?

DR is a part of the decline our clubs have willingly bought into.
I wouldn't have enjoyed a cracking weekend in Toronto was it not for DR. And right there my friend is the dilemma for fans of championship clubs
