Like your optimism but its misguided I am afraid, blind loyalty does not work in the long term.
The results are part of the problem, the other part is the way we play its poor we don't have any clue its predictable and its this which is losing us games as teams are picking us off.
Surely the Board have not given Karl another 3 years, surely not??????

Suit yourself mate , im not trying to cheer you up , or Patronise you , its not my Style , im saying it as I see it , you still have a decent squad of players , including Peter Fox , and 2nd spot is achievable providing you start winning ,and remember Fev have to travel to the Shay yet .

2nd spot IS still achievable but we just can't see a sudden upswing of commitment on the horizon. However, the annoying thing to me is that we could have won every game we've played this season! We have been shown what the team is capable of but not for 80 minutes per game and that failure to maintain pressure is caused by a coaching team with the inability to motivate.

As a Keighley fan, I've been more than impressed with Paul Handforth since he came from Halifax to Keighley in the close season. We seem to be winning many of the types of game we would have lost last season, and to me, Handforth's organisation and playmaking seems to be central to it all. He seems to bring the best out of the players around him.

I may be way off the mark, but I've kept wondering whether the loss of Handforth may have impacted your form at all this season to date? What are your thoughts out of interest?

As an outsider who only gets to see Fax once or twice a season, if that ,you may think i would not have a valid opinion but seeing things from a distance gives me a perspective perhaps some of you lack.
Its stating the obvious but there has been a clear decline in the last 5 years both in results, quality/entertainment of play and then crowds. A common theme to this is that KH has presided as coach in this period.
You have to say he has not even managed to keep us in the the top 2 strongest positions from any way you look at it, in fact we are now performing at mid table levels.
The crowds will come back but only with results combined with entertainment, bore the pants off people and you lose them. As far as off field stuff goes we are 3 years behind clubs such as Leigh/Featherstone, we are doing stuff now they did 3 or 4 years ago difference is the team is no longer performing.
You can blame it on money all you like but we did not have much 8 years ago yet still looked the most likely to join super league.
At the moment thats a million miles away, i wonder if the powers that be realise this and secretly know we could not sustain it so don't feel pressured to replace a colourless clueless coach.
Because if want on field success we have the wrong man in charge and the longer it goes on the more difficult it will be for a new coach to recover from.
He needs to go, now.

Last five years has seen us win GF and Northern Rail.
KH only coached the NRC winning team.
Our crowds started declining when we were entertaining and expansive.

Leigh have only been doing this for the last few months so it's not too late for whoever decides to get the marketing act together.

So you count NRC as a big deal then, that will account for the smug all is well attitude and the fact we are now a mid table team, if your view is typical then we have the coach we deserve, i am really glad you are happy with things the way they are but it does not alter my view one iota.
A certain degree of insularity i suppose can be comforting but faced with the harsh reality of facts it can be toe curlingly ostrich like.
Small town attitudes result in a small town club, not a vibrant forward thinking SL one which is what i would have thought all true fans wanted.

Those of us who attended the Northern Rail Cup thought it was a very big deal.

I really enjoyed both trips to Blackpool, other than the last two minutes of the first visit!

Winning trophies is an awesome feeling for all involved, and why, to a degree, playing in the Championship for the last 10 years hasn't been all that bad at all for Fax.

Games are boring to watch now. Little skill or spontaneity being allowed on the pitch in the interests of following a game plan.

A conversation behind me at Dewsbury went something like "Why don't we just chip over the defence, there's no-one at home" (we were on around our own 30 metre line), to which the reply was "They're not allowed to". Sort of rings true, but it's doing something different like that that's sometimes needed to break down well-drilled defensive lines.

If someone is going to troll you would think they would take the trouble to read the whole thread. What has happened to peoples work ethics? You cant just turn up on the last page of the thread and after reading a couple of posts launch in to a troll attack, its lazy, its slack, and it just makes the poster look stupid.

xfan put some effort in man, admittedly Town fans on here have in the past set the bar pretty low but take it as your job to raise that bar.
