I never met John, but was hoping to finally meet him at The Shay over the summer.

He was a real support to me and my family whilst we were going through the treatment for my daughter, always asking how she was getting on.

A true gent, sorry we never met face to face. I hope your suffering was minimal, my friend.

Really sorry to hear this news. Had many a duel with him on here but never took anything personally and I am sure/hope he never did too.

Awful news,missed his posts on here with little car,having not seen him at games did fear worst.

I didn't know John outside of this forum and it is safe to say we had the odd spat on here but it is fair to say he was blue and white through and through. We also shared a few private messages and it was clear to see that he could always see the best in people and was a genuinely good guy.

My condolences to his family. This forum is certainly a lot quieter place without him.

I had many a debate on here with HJ. When I finally had the fortune to meet him I found him a very pleasant and genuine bloke who clearly loved Fax. Besides leaving behind his family he also will be missed by The Fax family. It was a pleasure to have known him even for a short while.

Very sad news, whilst I did not know John personally I had a great respect for him from his posts in here. Honest, forthright but also with a wicked sense of humour, he will be much missed. We shared a few PMs and I thank him for that.

Just to add my condolences and best wishes to his family and friends. Like many here, I've never met John (or maybe I have?), but he came across here as a stalwart supporter of the club and he'll be sadly missed.
