Barrow as anybody else can do what they want. Barrow can dream they will be in SL-but it aint going to happen for a while with that Pigsty of a Stadium which does not even have proper lighting for the Championship let alone SL! The Couple of Barrow fans on here are nothing other than knobs who have no life and try and stir.
There is only 1 team really prepared for SL-and it aint Barrow or Fax. I think most Fax fans are realistic enough to realise this. Barrow fans by looking occassionally on their forum seem to think they deserve a SL place. Des the Chairman is a charactor that I personally do not like and would not trust-but thats Barrows problem/Fortune.
Whether clubs make a profit or not does not really interest me. What intersts me is how Fax are doing and that the game is moving forward. It makes me sad to see clubs struggle like Doncaster, Gateshead etc.

Don't think any Barrow fans are trying to stir just sticking up for there club nowt wrong with that, expect you to do the same for yours,only make yourself look silly insulting people by the way.

I'm amazed at the financial knowledge that fans have of each others clubs, never mind their own.

It would seem that Barrow's and Halifax's accountants reveal their respective clubs' expenditure and income to fans to post on forums like this to be debated (is that the right word?) by obsessive and compulsive anal retentives with not a clue on the workings of a sporting club. You never had that mantle. As I stated, the Barrow lottery was the biggest lottery in the country until the introduction of the National Lottery and, I believe, has remained second only to that.

I really don't wish to argue over the matter of finances. Both our clubs appear to be in a healthy situation, both provide entertaining and highly competitive rugby.

yes littlerich but you forgot that their modified model incorporates hypothetical 'bankruptsy costs' meaning that a highly levered firms capital structure actually can and does affect a firms stated value, however unreliable this estimation may be. I learnt this riveting stuff in my corporate finance module.
