Sorry but the ground is awful!! During this period Bradford have played away from Odsal for long periods has it wasn't deemed up to scratch by Bradford and were/are desperate to completely redevelop it themselves!! Odsal is great on hot barmy summer nights but bring rain into the scenario which is a usual during our summers and Odsal is left lacking for a modern era stadia. Only 1 covered stand etc ....

Rubbish.

The only period when Bulls have not played at Odsal was 2001 and 2002, when we moved out supposedly so the ground could be redeveloped. Instead of course we were shafted. We were not allowed to have a Tesco-funded new stadium, when Wigan Wire Stains et al were.

The ground is of course crying out for development, but the route followed by pretty well everyone else - do it on the back of a retail development - has been denied us.

It's the worst stadium (imo) in the world of rugby league. In the end, couldn't attend the game, but you'd have to pay me to go there every week, whatever the team was doing on the pitch. It least some of the teams that have decrepit stadia that are falling down have some semblance of an atmosphere. You'd need 20,000 in Odsal to know you were at a game.

The Shay is poor in comparison to Thrum Hall for "the occasion", but at least we don't need binoculars to follow who's got the ball!

Well done to the Bulls for the second half performance today - a good hit-out for both teams.

My great grandad built a weaving shed with 40 shuttle looms in 1908. He laid the platform for our family's comfortable life. Well done him but my dad replaced all the old looms in 1976 with swish new Italian rapier looms. Not sure where i'm going with this but hopefully you can see my point.

Agree terrible ground, took quite a while to work out who our players were, PA was rubbish aswell.

Get a better view of the pitch from Google Earth than you do from the terraces...

It seemed the PA system was only turned on for the main stand to me, didn't hear an announcement clearly all afternoon

And to add to that, Its a bit unfair how Odsal escapes critiscism when The Willows, Belle Vue, The Jungle (or whatever you want to call it these days) ect take a lot.

Hull KR have made improvements recently, Saints have left Knowsley Road for pastures new, Leeds have built a new stand, Other teams have in the past 10 years moved to new stadia (Hull and Warrington). Bradford built the coral stand, a facility which while it allows them to entertain the visiting Media (perhaps thats why they're more kind over the state of odsal) benefits very few of the ordinary Bulls Supporters,

That's because Bradford will NEVER be considered for a license revoke - all the others would gladly be sacrificed by the RFL and everyone knows it. The big clubs are better off not being part of the license process - their inclusion in it is utterly pointless.

Well why should the RFL throw us out when we have 11,000 season ticket holders.

I couldn't drag myself to that Sh!t hole every week, even to support a SL team.

i have never really understood why the ordinary fans put up with things at Bradford , especially as it always seems to be raining on a matchday there. All those even under the cover get wet through which to me is a basic need to keep dry while watching the match. I also spent a couple of days at the ground last year and some of it was in the hospitality block which was supposed to be for sponsors etc I was shocked at how poor the place looked. It was near to Xmas and they had supposadly trimmed up for the occasion, the tree was a dismal threadbare effort and the room looked so shabby. I was there because that is where the filming of The Kings Speach took place , the bit where it shows on the trailers of the King at the microphone looking at the supposed "Wembly " pitch was Odsal.
I can just imagine when the site locators were given the job of finding a football/rugby ground with 1930s facilities and then ending up at Bradford says it all really.
