Excellent post, someone finally gets to the main point. A lot of what went on last night may have been passed over in the past. RFF comes across as a really good guy and a top bloke. But it is the people that acted like they did that need to be addressed by the good contingent and make them realise that in the contextt of what had happened it was highly inappropriate.

Like has been said on here, and the reason I have not gone down this route is that the tit-for-tat circle goes on and solves nowt - but the stick your f*__in flat caps up your @r_se wasn't out of Keats or Wordsworth was it?? On walking out of the grounds we got the preverbial kuwaiti tanker signs, the v's etc from some (younger) fax fans! I don't particularly condone it but if you believe Fax fans are not guilty of it (en masse as Nat suggested earleir) then you're blinkered or deluded! It happens, it always has done - BY ALL CLUBS!! The vitriol from some of the fax fans was equal to that you describe. Recounting it on here or debating in circles on here with me solves nowt.
As for the respect thing you attempt to heap my/our way. - I hope Dave recovers and I hope the mattered is resolved and quickly, though I doubt it will. But I have done nor said anything wrong to anybody - ever - and I refuse to be made to feel guilty about it by you or anyone else!

Cheers jacko, but in response to your comment, I believe that the issue has been addressed by the overwhelming majority. Scores of fans have helped the police with their enquiries. However, in an isolated incident, with no other witnesses, it is difficult to secure the evidence that will bring about a prosecution despite their best efforts so far.

and on that issue of last night, and events last Autumn, I think it's time for me to bail out as I feel I've said my bit, answered the points from a fev fans perspective.

totally agree, its pathetic that people are going to miss the game, its not just Featherstone "fans", a lot of our "fans" we're causing trouble, some maybe more that the Fev ones, unfair to tarnish everybody with the same brush.
If people want to miss the game then its up to them but i think they are making it worse, going on about it and kicking up a fuss makes it more likely for something to happen, if we just forget about it things will probably blow over!!

We had trouble a few years back at Widnes with them bricking the supporters coach window but no one boycotted that game and there has been no major trouble since, its rugby league fgs!

Sorry RFF but I simply can't agree with everything you post in reply..... Firstly in the build up to the game all I heard Fax sing was Championies etc. Fev however come back with W@nki Fax etc. From sitting in the East Stand I found the atmosphere hostile at best intimidating in reality. Fev fans had an opportunity to show the world of RL that the incident at Wire was a one off an opportunity missed in my opinion having watched their behaviour. Fax fans are not whiter than White and we all had concerns!! I even offered the club to do a meet and greet on the way to the ground but Halifax were reluctant as they were certain that Fev would behave and relations between the 2 clubs are very good. All the aggressive chanting originated from Fev and Fax retaliated and I don't condone that either! As for the idiots not representing you well again I'm afraid media and police labelled the cowards involved as Featherstone fans and I'm afraid mud sticks. I'm certainly not saying either that you or the majority are not decent people or fans as I'm sure you are. Collectively last night as a group of fans I thought "Fev" provoked and goaded and were the instigators of an atmosphere I and many around me found both aggressive and hostile. It's human nature to retaliate and Fax were dragged into it through the Fev goading. I am only saying it as I saw it whilst trying to be subjective as a Fax fan but if the shoe was on other foot I'd be pretty upset at my own fans.

You have no idea if anyone is covering up or not, you know nothing about the police investigation, yes its best YOU dont come to the game at Fev, people like you are not welcome, you call our fans but it seems to be overlooked that you have some right bother causing little shiiites that follow fax, like the little scroat that tried to nick my hat in the semi, lucky he didnt get his teeth knocked down his throat, but as my son was with me i left it. It's fair to say having watched myself the video Cheshire Police have released of the incident there are several people stood around not physically taking part but who must surely know who these individuals are??? Ring Warrington CID and ask them if anyone is covering up i think you will be surprised at there answer, its not easy to get a conviction in this country without solid evidence someone ringing up and giving a name is NOT EVIDENCE.

Re the CCTV footage - it isn't clear which supporters the coaches driving past were carrying.
Re 2 seasons ago at the shay, been stood on a level with Fev supporters I can't say whether or not things were thrown from further up the stand (I was looking at the pitch and talking to friends until trouble caught my attention - so not saying there wasn't any provocation) - what I did see was Fev fans mouthing off at Fax fans walking back up to the stand, Fax fans having something to say back then a Fev supporter throwing punches - to be fair to those around him they put him in the middle of the group where he couldn't cause trouble and they kept him there. Until the end of the game when he got on the pitch. That is just 1 idiot but that is what people remember and is the generalised. That is the reason that I sit in the East Stand - I know there are Fax fans that would retaliate and fight back and I don't want to be there when it does.

The problem is this is still fresh in everyones minds and there will be media interest in this fixture cos of what happened. BOTH sets of fans need to realise that and use these fixtures going forward to show that RL is a friendly game and that fans can mix without trouble. However with idiots following both that's difficult.

Does this squabbling really help? Well done Halifax Evening (Morning) Courier on helping stir things up again. We've got 2 sides that are capable of providing far better entertainment than a lot of the sooper dooper league clubs. Why are we letting a handful of dorks from BOTH clubs distract us from this?

There is no evidence that they were Fev fans. On the CCTV I cant see a shirt or flat cap. From what I have heard they didnt get on a coach afterwards. They might have been random just out looking for somebody to attack. Although the arrests made were in and around Fev I believe.

Leave it out, come on why would anybody esle be there at that time plus as always the losing teams coaches always leave before the winners coaches like us the year before remember? Also the police I believe have confirmed they were Fev coaches passing.

I think you are wrong and its quite clear that people from the Featherstone area (Would not say they are fans) were involved. I also believe certain Fev fans know who it was and have reported what they know. I also am of the opinion others do not want to say for various reasons maybe friends or are related to the cowards or maybe are in fear of them. I do not blamd Fev Club or the fans as a whole. But sadly there is a element at Featherstone that are intent on causing problems as there is at most clubs. I also feel clubs (not just Fev) need to get rid of this element and if found guilty of ever causing problems facing a ban from all RL Grounds for life. I think something similar happens in soccer.

That proves nothing my friend, I am getting angry that SOME fans, from mainly Fev, think that this is a nothing story and that somehow their fans may not be resposnible and are trying to deflcet the blame.
That is disrepectful to the innocent victim of this and like all cases in law you have to have cast iron evidence before you can convict somebody in England which does not mean it did not happen.

I dont comment alot on here but you are right Fax4Life people should let this drop from the forum and get back to talking rugby. I do look on the DS thread and i hope he makes a full recovery and get back to supporting the team he loves.

As for Fev having trouble causes i dont remember where there was any trouble at any other match last year where Fev played and yes i was at them all with my 2 daughter.
