| Apparently went as a young kid but cant remember so looking forward to this one.
11.40 train from fax to leeds all been well.
Cant see bulls giving us much trouble and cant see Dewsbury troubling batley but who knows
Walmsley back in, would move arundel to second row if needed for worthington

| I think my last visit to headingly was the 1990 regal trophy final against Wigan ,just looked at the attendance over 17,000 , we beat saints 10-9 in the semi final as a 2nd division club that’s some achievement.
Unfortunately my plans have been scuppered as the mrs’ as pulled her back out and is dosed up on diazepam and tramadol so it may be a few more years before I return to headingly . Premier sports it’ll be for me , providing it doesn’t switch off at the last minute again .

| The last time i went to headingly was the season when we got relegated in 2003 it used to be one of my favourite away grounds to visit it will have changed a lot since then. If anyone as got any tips for places to park that would be appreciated as for the game bradford seem to be in a bad spot. When they sacked kear things seemed to pickup performance wise but know they are struggling again as for us we need to jump back on the horse nice a quick with a good win. Selection wise i would pick worthington instead of arundel who as been a big disappointment to me you could try him in the second row but garside puts far more effort in so should keep is spot. Lets wait and see how gwaze gets on at the disciplinary he would also be a welcome return but i wouldn't hold my breath on that. As for the score I think we will win 36-16.

| With Fax over the years I’ve learned you can never be sure what to expect as the weekend showed but haven’t seen the energy levels from Bradford that London showed and if we get our game heads on and some players back we should have enough.

| The squad is out and includes the returning Elliot Morris, Greg Worthington, Kav, Ed Barber and Lachlan Walmsley. It looks a good strong line up and hopefully with a more familiar look we will be able to bounce back from the London loss and bash the bulls. Up The Fax!

That side should be more than good enough to get the job done. I am looking forward to the bash this weekend and will be watching as many games as my legs can stand.

Agree with this selection, he may opt for garside over barber with garside being banned for the Batley game , then possibly have barber on the bench as a utility player who covers more positions in case of injury probably at the expense of Morris or mason .

| Yep. Strong squad with the returning players and delighted to see Wombat back in, must be fit after the scare from the other week and Elliot back who has been playing well for the Rams whilst on loan.

Aye, put Garside in for Mason and there's not much wrong with that side. Ring 0' Bells Halifax. Ossett Yorkshire Blonde 3.9% Mmm!

| Wow. There can't be more than 300 fans in there for Game 1.
Seems over priced card only produce isn't much of a pull over an early Otley Run afternoon

| Well we got the job done although nowhere near at our best. I thought our defence was excellent again but we never really clicked as we can going forward. The sending off was a joke given that no bulls players were sent off for running in. A great day out though and the two points tucked away although we will need to up the game next week against Batley. Up The Fax!

| Well now the dust as settled and I’ve watched the game back without the benefit of nerves it probably fell into the category of gritty determined victory rather than a brilliant performance. I must admit from start to finish the coverage and the game itself irritated me , I’m a big Grix fan and think he’s been brilliant for the club but out of the 21 man squad I thought his team selection was the worst he could of selected , obviously I have no insight into injuries and can only assume walmsey isn’t quite ready yet , but to have Martin and wood on the bench with only one prop completely threw me especially ( albeit a fat unfit pack) against one of the biggest packs in the league. On a positive note I thought wood had his best game for us yet and actually attacked the line a few times rather than just passing left and right from the ruck . It’ll be interesting to see ( as Grix said what’s seen and not seen ) in the magnifying glass of the post match review panel, ie hallas punch , eye gouge from Patton ( how Martin gets red for that I will never no , oh and btw pryce give your Bradford jersey back to the fans now you finished commentating) . Why did we have to have a pre match ten minute interview with Brian noble waffling On about Bradford and 30 seconds of Grix ( loved his digs against pryce at the end , yeah spot on pryce but it’s always great to beat Bradford) normally I’ve calmed down but still feel annoyed, anyway great battling win , and in the words of Peter Kay in the John smiths advert HAVE IT !! bwadford.

| Hudds and Listenup sums up my feelings adding from the whistle we had a more controlled approach completed well slowly turning the possession and position into some points.
The try just before half time was a significant score giving us that lift and Bulls a let down at a crucial time.
What seems to be a mandatory period of slackness this week was just after half time heads still back in the dressing room with the sloppy mistakes and odd penalty inviting a bit of pressure on ourself which blended into the red card incident leaving a nervous last 20.
Bad to see Zac with his arm injury which will see him out for some time and interesting to see what comes out of the disciplinary.
From what SG said sounded like team selection, taking fitness / injury issues into consideration was as strong as possible from who was available.

| Yeah agree with much of that. I think with so many players missing its a really good win, a little scrappy at times but we struggled for go forward with the pack we had out. No disrespect to Bradford but I imagine Grix did have one eye on next week for anyone who was not fully fit. We never really looked like losing aft the early score but you felt if Bradford could get another late on with us down to 12 it might end up been close but once again the lads dug in and it just makes last week look like a blip. Fingers crossed on the injuries and hopefully Keyes in a boot after the game was just precautionary.

| I’ve just realised that grixs’ comments about discipline’ it’s amazing what they see and don’t see ‘ could be a direct swipe at pryce himself as he’s one of the members of the disciplinary process, lol!

On discipline those bubble suits that we saw some running about in is a trial run by the RFL for the future of the game, mandatory for all teams by 2024.

Yep they were they’re the ones and it was all going well until they failed the newly introduced inflation assessment which no one had told Bradford about.

| Must apologise to Bradford for the previous miss information.
Turns out they had been informed but Nigel Wood thought psi stood for “pies per square inch” and couldn’t bring himself to pass it on.

| Before i comment on the game could i just say a big thank you to the lovely young lady that searched me at the turnstiles you made my weekend. As for the game i think we controlled the most of it pretty well and even when mistakes started to creep in our defence looked on top having said that bradford are easy to read they just try to run over the top of you and when that doesn't work they put the high kick up hoping you make a mistake if you don't they don't look like scoring and offering very little in creativity. And what a joke the sending off was joe got ragged about and then gouged he did nothing but got sent off. Somebody could do with giving that ball grabber a slap or two he carry's on like he as taken something. And unfortunately We did seem to pick up a few injuries lets hope none are too serious.

| I’ve watched the game back and the ‘ incident ‘ a few times and this is my take on it - In the set previously Sam hallas strikes joe Martin from the floor ( I’m not gonna call it a punch because it’s more of a jab ) the fairbank tackle that is penalised hits the ball first then his arm deflects up around the neck/shoulder area of ant Walker. The following melee halllas and others go for fairbank, Martin who is late to the melee strikes / jabs hallas to the face threw several bodies, he is grabbed by two players and then eye gouged / face raked from behind by Patton. Separately when Flanagan goes off he deliberately bumps into barber and shoves him in front of the match official . So I imagine Martin will get a ban but imo so should hallas , Flanagan and Patton. I believe Brandon Moore has broken his ribs around the early part of the 2nd half , he played on for around 10 minutes but was noticeably struggling, obviously McComb has dislocated his shoulder.
