| Can't say I have any sympathies as when things were going well at Fev and all was rosy in the garden it was obviously all down to the funding from Faizal and understandably we all looked at Fev in envy.
That like Barrow with Des Johnson was the difference between us and them and money usually speaks, Fev were the best team league wise they just under achieved in the play offs and NRC.
Now its a more level playing field lets see how they get on eh?
Oh and before I get jumped on I hope Fev get through this as I am sure they will, they will just have to get used to being alongside us lesser mortals in the real world!

Very sorry to disappoint you old lad but we dont want your sympathies and there will be no problem at Rovers. The man hasnt given us that much cash and we had topped the league for 2 years before he came. Its as all got nipped in the bud by our chairman before it got too far, we will be fine and im convinced will play much better from now to the seasons end

| No problems? You owed the tax man before he came along and picked up the bill. Dont have that bail out again, All of a sudden you have an inflated wage bill and and more facilities to maintain. I would imagine Hay will be on a few quid. Can see trouble on the horizon. I hope not, I hope you can go back to the club you were, but I cant see this ending well.

Your statement and the club statement seem to differ on the money side?

I thought gingdong's statement was better put together than the club one though.

That may be so but there is a big variance on the money issue.

| Best post I have seen on the topic over on the Featherstone TotalRL forum :-
Quote TheTerminator Posted Today, 09:17 AM
It was clear that this man was a dodgy customer right from the beginning, and his agenda was always to push Mark Campbell into the background with a view to gaining sole control of the club.
Look at his track record in the game - turfed out by at least three or four clubs before he was allowed to become too closely involved. He even attempted to 'invest' in Blackburn Rovers, but was snubbed by them as he was insisting that any money forwarded would be repayable at a high rate of interest. Given the nature of his business - attracting investors and promising them a profitable return for their contributions, isn't it obvious what his plan was for Featherstone Rovers? Talk of 'anonymous' investors - who have turned out to be dotted up and down the country in exotic locations such as Grimsby, should have set alarm bells ringing at the highest volume possible.
All this from a guy who - according to Company House, has barely got a penny to his name and owns a business classified as a 'High Risk' by the city.
In my opinion, his plan WAS to get Rovers into Super League. The next stage of his plan was probably to fleece the club of the millions in extra income it would have gained in order to provide his 'investors' (and himself - via kick-backs) with a weighty return on their contributions. Lots of people have been asking why, if he's so loaded, was he so desperate to finish in the lucrative second league position this season? Easy - he needed the 500k reward to pay his investors their first return. Desperation set in when league position was jeopardised by poor recruitment and staff appointments - hence the dramatic mid-season turnaround in club policy.
He'd have probably gotten away with his scheme if he wasn't for his own ego and obnoxious personality. The guy just couldn't keep his mouth shut.
I firmly believe that it will become apparent - very soon, that he hasn't actually invested anything in Featherstone Rovers. However, he's been investing other people's money with the promise of a return. Whether it's his problem or Featherstone Rovers' when those people come calling for their money back will be interesting.

| That last post is probably a good summing up of what has gone on, I don't know the poster involved but it makes sense from what a lot of the hear-say going about has been like.
A few years ago, Sir Alan Stanford rocked up at Lords Cricket Ground in his Helicopter, promised Millions of dollars of investment, was welcomed in by many. and that all ended in tears and the last I heard was he'd been arrested by the FBI for something. Not sure what came of it. But is investment into cricket came to a sudden end.
Anyway, about the same time, Mike Stephenson wrote in his League Express column that in Rugby League we should be wary, as we'd likely fall into the same trap. If someone turned up at a clubs gate with a big fat chequebook, they'd be welcomed in without anyone thinking of the consequnces. Its happened at Oldham (forget the guys name but he was heavily bankrolling them, when he had a do with someone took his bat and ball home and 5 players contracts somehow got moved to Barrow, 2 bobs and that Bald winger who was like **** off a stick and kicked goals were two of them). We've seen Des Johnson up at Barrow and what happened there. Omar Khan and Friends at Bradford, Neil Hudgell at Hull KR has made noises about how much he invests and if he'll continue to do so long term, Huddersfield bankrolled by an old man who's children have little interest in the club. List goes on, I haven't even mentioned the doctor....
Fact is, Rugby League is chasing something that is unattainable. and basically, is a great big black hole to pour money into. if the salary cap was raised, and players were paid more, would that make them any better? or would they simply eat somewhere more expensive than Nandos?
From an outside view, Fev seemed to be doing alright, decent enough results on the pitch. A monumental effort by a dedicated bunch of volunteers to rebuild the stand that came from Scarborough, money that was invested used to build the Centre of Excellence which will provide good training facilities for the club for years to come. It seemed a good way to be going. Now Feisal's got on his Bike and moved on, who knows what will happen next?
And as for Mr Probiz himself, has Rugby League seen the last of him?

The club statement was written by him and put out as he wrote it apparently so people would know who it came from. He has invested very little, its been nipped in the bud in time and we will be better on the pitch now im sure,

| As the title of this thread states. Implosion due.
How will you honour the full time contracts that have already been given out this year, you are part time now and already operating a increases cap of £400k. Even coming in second is not going to bridge the gap in finances to cover the full time wages next year, some will be full time and some part time, that will cause resentment in the team and will still only train part time. Sooner or later the fan is getting peppered in the brown smelly stuff.

I hope you're heading in that direction yourself young Dutchy in the next couple of years. Congratulations on your cup final success the other week & i notice you scored the winning try, grabbing the newspaper headlines hopefully there were scouts in attendance and taking notes.
I remember when you left your junior club in the Halifax area a few years ago & me and your dad chatting in the Shaw Cross clubhouse one sunday morning while i was looking after the Halifax scholars and i was asking how you rocked up to be playing over there, what with the postcode/boundaries thing etc etc and your dad asking me to keep an eye out for you in the future. Well, I may not be in that side of things anymore, but hopefully, via this form of social networking you get some sort of recognition for your talents. I know how proud your dad is of you 'cos I usually ask him about you when i occassionally bump into him at games.
Keep up the hard work & always listen to your coaching.

| From Fev Forum about their Fans Forum last night....
Quote Posted Yesterday, 08:44 PM
Breif summary of tonights fans forum and what was said
Some of the reason/reasons for the big fall out is -
Clubs finances werent adding up from Probiz finanacial advisor - MC enquired about this but no info received
Feisal asked Tony lumb (big fellas) and dave downs to step down for mystery investors, MC asked to meet mystery investors, excuses made not to meet them
Faisal refused various meetings with board and wont answer calls, threatening club with winding up orders, etc
Fev considering legal action or taking legal advice
As well as no investors no 60k for stands either but will be finished without the promised money - club in talks with Wakefield Football Club for their home games to be played at Fev as they have no ground but a government grant for a 3G pitch - Wakefield football club approached Fev - talks ongoing for next season (2015/16 season)
There was never any plans for an all out assault on SL and breaking into that top 4 next season - next season is/was always planned as a consolidation season to see how the new league structure works - more faisal BS based on recent twitter ramblings
Club not in major debt and won't be off loading players. No ''marquee'' signings made for next season.
Club under no obligation to buy faisal shares in club - he is stuck with them and who would you buy shares from - probiz (the shares are owned by probiz not faisal as a person) or fev rovers?
The land is fevs and the business buildings behind new stand will go ahead to generate all year round income - MC dream scenario is a few independent small firms working out of the new buildings, which will generate potential new fans and potential sponsors
Current players offered FT and PT contract will be honoured. Players all happy that everything sorted out and the pressure lifted, hopeful fans saw some evidence of that last Sunday - promises fans that they will deliver on the pitch and cement a probable 2nd place finish - Only one player not happy - Kyle Briggs who became disillouisned with the goings on at club and has fallen out of love with club and wants to leave and wishes to stay at Dews, enjoying game once again whilst at Dews and hopeful he can stay
Ken jones is the new new CEO and introduced himself, spoke well and looking to get back to old ways of when we were top dogs - encourages us to use this hashtag below all the time from the staff and players to the fans #teamrovers as thats what we all are
Slightly off topic announcement - The smoking ban at the ground to be reviewed'"

| Listen, i, along with other Fax fans know Robin and to be quite honest, if he's been so brave as to post something on the internet you better take his word for it especially on such a sensitive issue.
Nobody other than our board would know what business goes on anyway & it's their prerogative to do what they have to do for the best interests of Halifax RLFC, crack on i say. Time will tell whatever comes out of any such/supposed inter-actions.
