It'll be a close first half. At some point during the match St Helens will score three rapid quickfire tries in a devastating ten minute spell. The final score probably won't do justice to the Barrow effort. Now, if the game was up in Barrow ........................

Our DC's were fringe SL except Emmitt, who has come on leaps and bounds under Basil.
They helped us out as we had/have a tiny squad due to not being able to finish recruiting until late, we lost Harrison as a result for example.
We will be stronger next year as some of Rowleys signings are off contract and they do not justify the contract they get. Sunday we will be last years team plus Bibey and Duffy, that makes us mid table imho.
We will not be as fast and aggressive up front without Mitchell, Emmitt and McCarthy, that will give you enough room to rack some points up out wide.

I'm not going to start sounding like a Widnes fan and blaming injuries before we kick off. Everyone has injuries, that's why having a squad is very important, we will be a better side next year when we have 25 quality players rather than 19.

Don't belittle your team like that, (I mean this with respect), as I believe Basil will have something up his sleeve and your players have responded tremendously to his coaching so far this season.

Att 2350 England game kicks off at 1.15, will keep many in the pub.

Fax by 10 the squad is stretched to its limit, always trust Basil to get a performance from the team though, should be a good game hope plenty of you come over and have a good afternoon.

Parking is spot on, arrive early to get your ticket and job's a good 'un.

Really? Do you have that many out or not too much in depth? Don't forget the last Leigh team we saw was the one that battered us not so long back. I'll at least be expecting a better game and a reponse from 'Fax today at the least.

Think half back is the main concern with Robbie and Hartley both out. Would expect a Ridyard-Duffy partnership with McConnell rotating with Jamie Durbin at 9.

Jake Emmitt is a huge loss in the forwards as well, but I guess we've done exactly what the RFL and Super League clubs wanted by getting a kid who wasn't even on the fringes of the Saints squad and turning him in to a first team regular.

See what you're saying about half back but it doesn't look like bad cover to me. I expect a close game. Mind you I said that last time and look what happened!

I must say I'm incredibly excited. This is where our season starts, win today and we are well and truly back on track. Even though my journey is the rather long way round to Leigh I reckon it will be worth it



Also I think some of the 'doubtful' players will play. Mind games from Calland me thinks.
