Great signing for Barrow, and thinking back to the awful performace we put in against them up at their place last season it will be interesting to see how we go against them this year!

is he sticking with the fact that he quit Harlequins after 'becoming homesick'? Just don't understand the choice of a commute to Barrow, surely there were clubs closer to home interested?

McCormack had players signed to Widnes (Wildbore for one) who simply couldn't make training in the week but he was happy for them to turn up and play at a weekend

At this point in the season I would imagine most clubs have emptied the kittie.

Desperate Des at it again trying to buy anybody who is available. he lost it big style again when barrow drew to leigh the other week. When will he stick his hands in his pocket to sort that hole of a ground out-especially the lights?

To be fair a few of their fans have started asking that question now they have the "tick in the box".. Why buy more players on top of that bulging squad when your ground is a hole...

Considering the RFL have said well done to Barrow but told them to sort the ground or forget Super League super Dez has made no attemot to sort that yet as you say have spent more on players



I get the feeling they are hoping to just win the league twice and then if don't get in have an almighty kick off about it?

Another Q is how much money does Dez actually have to throw about? Yes plenty of top players there but the floodlight & stadium issues, plus also they played in old kits in the NRC and didn't print new ones for the Oldham 5 just printed over old etc. In an era where off field seems to matter more than on the field are Barrow doing it the wrong way around?

He can't do everything at once. Maybe he's trying to get things right on the pitch in order to get the fans through the gates first. They haven't got a stadium. We haven't got a youth policy. They're no better or worse off than we are. At least - in both cases - fans are getting a good deal with quality on the field.

But say James on 30k a season, spend that on stadium upgrades that may give them a shot at Super League? There side is already one of the best in the division! Barrow youth system?

£30k on stadium improvements? What do you reckon that'll buy?
