To be honest this is a bit of a joke, I think Fax scrapped the game purely to gain the lucrative tie with Saints.

I feel it shows a lack of respect for the Lions where Championship clubs should be helping each other out not filling Super League club coffers!

Its a testimonial game, I doubt Fax will be receiving a big fee if any? certainly not a lucrative tie

one reason we scrapped the swinton game was because the the new stand is not finished and the pitch itself looks doubtful, so the game might not have gone ahead anyway, i think its good of saints asking us to step in

When could we fit it in before the season starts? the pitch needs time to recover after been under cover for a few weeks, if it gets destroyed now it'll be knackard til at least the end of the football season

Be good to get to see Fax play at KR for the last time. Might be a dump but the place has character.

I don't normally bother with away day friendlies but this fixture is so tempting. It's year's since I went there to watch 'Fax and it might be the last chance we get. It's a sensible 8pm kick off too, far more user-friendly than 7.30 which would have been out of reach for me.
I also understand that the supporters coaches leave the Shay at 6.15 if that's any help to folks wanting to travel, get onto Neil or Malfax to book your place.

I was only going to go to Keighley as it was schedueled to be on my day off, I wouldnt have used a days holiday for the rearranged game (if it had of been) but I have done to go to saints, its going to be their last season at <Insert silly annually changing sponsors name> Stadium AKA Knowsley Road, plus having not seen a game in months I'm just looking forward to getting to see Fax in action,

Same here. I wasnt going to bother going to any of the friendlies apart from the Hudds one. The keighley one seemed a bit of a waste of time as we play them 3 times already this season. The Swinton one appeared as though it was only arranged for the new stand opening and as a spectacle wouldnt have been worth paying money to watch. At least with this game we get to see how we fair against some of the top players in the game. Quite looking forward to it. Just a pity we have so many players missing.
