True, but..........
The next few weeks will show the real mettle of the side. Can they go all the way or will they implode again? It's going to be interesting, not to say, nailbiting.
I'm keeping everything crossed for Saturday.
Craven Park might be one of the worst RL grounds (a throwback to the 1950s or earlier and such a contrast to the extremely high-tech industrial complex across the road), but it must be the only one where, a couple of miles or so outside the town on the main road in from Ulverston, you are quite likely to see giraffes or rhinos (no, not Karl Harrison) by the roadside (behind a fence though). Anyway, that's what I saw on a recent trip to Barrow.....and I hadn't been drinking. |

Because it is their last match of the season , they cannot make the play offs , are excempt from relegation and will be on the pish

OK, if we lose to Toulouse (I smile every time I say that), we deserve to win nowt!!
If we win, we're second (but you all know that!).
The key is HOW we win on Saturday. Hard fought, but a strut, and some class, and we'll be set up for the play-offs.
Easy win (playng badly) or scraping a win, and I've little hope for the playoffs. Stuff 'em, and it's a bit of a two-edged sword...
Roll on Saturday, the season (really) starts here...!!!

I thought the eagles played very well. Kept it simple, kept possession, variation on the line, strong in defence and attack and turned barrow round with the kick on the last tackle. Simple but effective and something we have been crying out for all season.
Hats off to them, cos of great coaching and making the most of their talent, they're looking great for the play offs
