I know the hut you mean. They had a sign up for Meat and Potato pies, so my mate ordered one, and they said they only had Potato and Meat ones left. So he had to make do.

For The Shears. Come out of the Car Park (where the turnstiles for the South Stand are) and cross the Road, turn right then left (sort of around the Block of Flats. Follow this road down the hill taking the left when it forks by a mill, down the hill and round the corner and its there. Someone could probably post a better description than me.

Real Ale & Good Food, Though I'm told it gets busy on a Sunday Lunch, though we often eat there before Thursday Games but its best advised to arrive in plenty of time.

Shay Pub, is still open I think, but not been in for years, can't see why anyone would want to with the 3 pigeons and the pump room so near.

Sheer laziness

Must admit we go in the Shay if we're on the minibus, but Pump Room then Three Pigeons if on the rattler.

Apart from the cost and quality of the food for us mere mortals , our corporate diners are unhappy with the cost and quality of the fair they have been given and as a result our sales in that area are no better if not actually worse than they were at Hilton Park despite the obvious improvement in facilities

It's re-opened recently. Apparently, the new gaffer in there wants to know why it's decorated red & white when the footy & RL teams both wear blue & white.

Never had a good pint in there, so not in any hurry to go in. Its sad to see so many pubs empty, but if they want to serve shít beer then thats there problems aint it. The ones that serve a good pint are still doing fine

Got a burger on thursday priced £2.80, Tasted like it had been prepared several hours previous, was very dry, no onions and dried up bread roll.

Has anybody sampled Steve's Super League pies yet? Brilliant and branded for rugby league too!

Hot dogs were alright but they were cooking them on the fly. Beer was like piddle though.

a bottle of bud cost £3.10 in the players bar, steve the camara man nearly fell to the floor,,lol

Not had one of Steves, but the Peters Super League Pie you can get in Morrisons and Asda are ok

And Donny are the best of the lot from my experience of EMC, as they were the only ones to offer any sort of variation from the £3 pies and burgers!


Not actually seen them on sale at any grounds, but you can get them from most supermarkets and they're pretty decent.

The Pizza pods are amazing at Doncaster they also sell them at Huddesfield. As for the Super League pies I was not keen when I had 1 maybe they should make a Championship pie
