The bookmakers appear to think this game is a forgone conclusion. The odds on a Fax win range from 20/1 to 11/1, with the Robins at 1/50 to 1/150 (yep put £150 on win a pound!). So if you think Fax will win you could get a nice payday.
But a better bet for the less opotomistic, or even as well as the above
You can get 10/11 at lots of places for Fax to loose by less than 30 points. Which given recent form, Kelly's injury, looks an interesting bet to me.

Glad to see the back of that one, lethargic afternoon from our fans/players. No disrespect as fax are my second team but Rovers didn't even get out of first gear and still won quite convincingly (in the end). Best moment for me was that Tyrer try and watching your fans go barmy, you must have liked that! But this qualifying 8s milarky really is showing the huge depth is quality between the SL and Championship sides. But what a stupid idea, how could a part time side operating on nowhere near the same salary caps expect to compete over a 7 game competition is beyond me. Hope RFL accept defeat with the structure and do 1 up 1 down. Seem to have a good few players what you can build on tbough to be honest. Good luck for the rest of the competition!

Thanks for your kind words
To be honest I think the RFL are laughing their socks off. They have resisted PR for so long virtually by public demand given in with this competition knowing full well that as you say the championship teams can't compete.
They can now turn round and say "we told you so"
Mind you don't forget Bradford are full time with a large salary cap and so are Leigh with a glass ceiling salary cap (allegedly)
Biggest shock for me so far is today's Salford v Leigh.
Had a few nice chats with some Robins on my way to the car park (GET THAT BLO;DY CAR PARK SORTED it took so long to get out I was going to claim false inprisonment) who congratulated me on our game and our support.

I don't think you were stuck in first gear you put it to us for long spells and we hung in there you are failing to acknowledge the effort put in by our lads.
I was surprised how quiet your fans were and we did out sing you but its easier as the underdogs but we have a good rapport with the lads as we appreciate their effort which is HUGE.
As for the concept then yer its touch for Championship teams but you seem to be forgetting the million pound match which is a one off and as you will all be hoping at Wembley anybody can win a one off game as its who plays best on the day! |
