Repeat: Nobody with history at the club and not one of the merry go round coaches in this division, we need some new fresh ideas and recent super league knowledge/coaching/playing experience.

the club needs a complete outsider to come in no ex players get rid of dead wood and start again. may get the hundreds who arn.t going to games to come again. for me its good news he,s gone just was,nt doing it. was a great player for the club we all no that come on who,s enjoyed watching that on the field this season. look forward fax fans trust in the prince

I think we are missing the point, or maybe I'm reading too much into that statement. Karl left under his own steam, sounds like he was frustrated with evnts behind the scenes out of his control.

Now that doesnt sound good to me. And it certainly doesnt sound like we should be rejoicing about finding a new coach cos to me it sounds like we cant afford a quality one or a quality one wont want to work for the club.

That statement makes me fear the worst about the club to be fair

Are you sure? With all due respect fev could arguably offer a much better squad, Greater coaching and playing budgets, better bespoke train facilities etc etc. Yet we attracted John Bastian and Andy Hay.!! Those "big names" wanting to coach a 4th rated championship club just aren't out there. Nor are there vast armies of untried young coaches itching to coach at this level.
Fax, like fev were, will be scratching at what's available... which is precious little.
Good coaches are hard to come by for the wad fax want to pay.

Have heard we have got financial problems. Scott Murrell possibly going to Wakefield. Not looking good for next season.

I guess if we have financial problems then as a company you would keep them quiet, but as a rugby club you might want to try and enlist some support.
The crowds have been hit by recent results and seasons of dull rugby but there are many who would turn up if the club leg it be known they really need support.
The non news from the BOD hasn't helped in all this either.

Murrell as caretaker coach is OK for the time being , but as I said in earlier posts he would need a mentor , so im going to suggest Steve McCormack to you , a very nice bloke , good coach , and I think he would do well at Fax .Charlie knows .

You might get a pleasant surprise then when signings do eventually get announced.

This is fantastic news and a step forward.

1.) KH was NOT taking the club forward and as such the club was NOT attracting any new supporters, only losing them.
2.) If we are in trouble, then let's have it all out. Clean it up, make a fresh start.
3.) New coach = new ideas, something different to what we have had.
4.) KH cannot lift the team to win big games in the last 2 years at least.
5.) The current atmosphere / relationship of BOD-media-fans has been nil (excepting Fax TV) and as such created a negative energy with rumours and hearsay amongst fans and - importantly - potential fans.

So, let's get it all out in the open and start again. I am 100% happy about the removal of KH and would like to see new blood and ideas. Absolutely wonderful. If we are in trouble as a business then fine, get it out there, sort it out to whatever level we can, start again.

Better late than never and at least we've stopped digging. Working on the basis that we don't have to bring the buckets out quite yet let's hope that we're pleasantly surprised by some of the applicants. I'm hoping that GFB is near the mark as he usually is.

My only concern is that I'm not sure who's qualified at Board level to make the appointment in terms of Rugby decisions, maybe they'll lean on Noble again for guidance. I think we need someone from outside the club, under 40 recently retired or ready to take the next stage and we must use this opportunity to let the new coach bring in his own staff from assistant coach right through to the kit man.

Good luck BOD you'll need it and for gods sake stop treating your loyal supporters like schoolchildren.....We're on your side!

Is Noble the best bet for the job maybe?? Sounds strange at first, but maybe on a low wage with Fax, allowing him to continue his TV work with BBC and Premier Sports would be more lucrative to him than a SL job?

If Fax announce that Murrell is staying you are not in any financial trouble

they may keep him as player coach to cut costs.....

I doubt the club will go to the trouble of announcing that players who are under contract for next season are staying............

To be honest I'm struggling to see how Wakey would be attracted by Murrell, he's had a few decent games but also some poor ones.

I'm not having a dig I hope you sort your problems out ( if you have any ) we need teams like Fev and Fax to be good as this league is going to be interesting next year for the 4th spot All I was saying is if Fax continue to pay wages like his if a team comes in for him they are not in financial trouble ( which I hope your not )

I dont think he is the only Fax player that the club have recently turn down bids for. It shows we have some good players when teams like Bradford and Hull Kr show an interest but it also shows the board are not panicking when it comes to telling teams where to go.

I have watched and read many comments over the last few days, on this forum, from people who clearly think a lot about the club and its future and would like to add my two penneth now that the BOD and KH have parted company. I would first of all like to thank KH for his loyalty shown to the club over many years and clearly more recently with the alleged difficult circumstances he has had to coach in over the time he has been with us. Unfortunately his style of coaching and selection has proven to be not what we all hoped it would be. Coaches come and coaches go and its now all about what we happens next for Fax as a club.
Personally I think it's time for a reality check for the club as a whole all to see exactly where we are at, both on and off the field, so we can move forward.
The best thing the BOD could do now is start to renegage with it's fan base . Tell us the current situation -good or bad- and allow those of us that do genuinely care to try help!
I see this as a real turning point and the sooner we can get the BOD;fans;players and coaching staff all working together the sooner we can get an action plan together to safeguard the future of the club and get more 'bums back on seats' and work toward bringing back the good times.
