But why would Harrison want to walk away from Batley after doing such a good job, the man has integrity..i personally cant see it happening, well not this season anyway.

I think many underestimate the draw this club has for Karl, he loves the place and IF he was to be appointed I'm sure he would relish working with this group of players. We will see won't we!!

Im not saying i wouldnt want Karl as our coach, i just dont think he will leave Batley until the end of the season seeing as he's gone a cracking job at mount pleasant and he may stay there next season pending on how Batley do in the playoffs.

Brilliant servant to the club as a player, speaks fondly of us in the media, used to work in Halifax before he played for us, has done a fantastic job at Batley, has great ideas and promotes local players and local talent, commands respect. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Karl Harrison.

Now... I know some will dream of SL with a high profile coach, but, if were to be in the Championship on stand by then i see no better man to galvanise the club and get local players busting a gut for Halifax RLFC.

Rhino will remain at Baltey until the end of the season and good luck to him and of course to Batley. We should be concentrating on what we have for now until the end of the season and then the club can actively look for a new coach, presumably Karl will be in the frame when that occurs.

You know what, if after Tuesday, we had to settle for Championship rugby with those 2 in charge, i would be looking forward to more days out, great fax performances and the Club getting stronger. And as for Sky, well they have denied us some cracking atmospheres by televising big games at short notice, so i say to you all, whatever happens this next week, its not SL or bust, we can be build from the Championship and let Red Hall run out of money and in a few years our foundations may look very strong indeed.

in all serious, my initial question of 'Shaun McRae' was just an indication that most people on here, usually stating that they are 'in the know' genually have no idea why, or for what MC has left.

I dont want to disrespect Batley...but Batley? It is a very small town in a large borough. It has little potential. Halifax is a large town in a decent sized borough. Fax have a greater chance of ticking boxes than Batley. If Rhino has ambition, then he will be at Fax sooner rather than later.

What? the size of the place is irrelevant, look at the league position. Batley deserve to be where they are because of how they play and how they are coached...they have discipline. Its not about potential its about performance.

if the rumours are true and Karl has signed for us next season, i cant see him joining us before next year.
